has mpc essentials always looked like that? i like that skin better than the current full mpc software skin, much cleaner looking and nicer

It's just a hard drive pre-loaded with a bundle of old or low cost software titles for $6oo. I guess this is a bargain for somebody.

Who cares about trying to move people to something new. Invest in latest "flagship" and inspire people to move to that, instead of potentially discouraging them and not only have them move elsewhere, but have potential new customers follow suit of old customers.

it's not really a big deal, inmusic have been bundling software and air instruments with akai controllers for a while. this looks like an extension of that while also trying to offer an alternative to that komplete hard drive that NI do. bundles are getting more and more popular, wouldn't be surprised to see this product used as a crossbuy option with a new mpk or studio/ren ii, again NI did that with the maschine and komplete and have seen a lot of success.

this pack doesn't really look good for me, but then i have no idea if the air instruments are decent, and there's a lot of drum hits and bread and butter sounds included as well so it would be pretty good for people new to producing music, or for people who don't mind a biggish outlay cost if it saves them the time of looking for sounds and instruments and/or represents good value

OK so its not some New ish, but a bundle they putting together to generate some revenue and likely introduce and provide some starting out with a bundled option of controller and VSTs

OK, carry on then inmusic... get that money, beef up mpc sofware and hopefully get more interested in Rens, Studios, and Elements. The more interested in it and buying, them more resources they have to invest into it

I noticed some of it is really old software.

You're also back to square one in waiting for Nukai to update everything.

The only AIR instrument I own is the Transfuser Software which I use with ProTools. Transfuser has its potentials and I made a few track with it. Actually I try to incorporate transfuser in everything I make. I'm not a fan of some of the other Air Instruments. I guess you gotta grown on them if you have them.

This would of been a good starter bundle for the MPC REN and Studio.

This should be giving as a token of gratitude for all the MPC REN / Studio users from launch day. I know they know who we are because we had to register the software when we purchased the equipment.

they should include some cleaner looking skins like that with the regular mpc software!
i hate skewmorphic design (when they try to make a computer program seem like a real life object, like how itunes looks like it's made out of aluminum, and how mpc software shows dials and buttons as real life controls)
