i do not understand all the hate on the ren.
When you like to produce (samplebased) music this mpc is dope.

Got everything what you need today plus the good old sampling and sequencer workflow.

Remember this is a beat machine/sampler. Not a DAW.
When you are not familiar with this workflow then learn it.

When you operate this baby like the old ones you gotta love it.

And in addition:

You could apply some vst effects if needed and its also possible to use vst instruments for basslines or whatever...
When you finished the beat, extract the tracks to audiotracks and transfer them to you DAW or just use the DAW plugin.

There are rumours some well named ny hiphop producer switched over to it and i m sure you will hear alot of renaissance beats this year.

Just keep your eyes and ears open and dont believe the hype/hate of the todays internet trolling.
For example look at some newer pictures from headquarter (old D&D) studio.
Premos 60 is not sitting anymore next to the turntable.

I asked about that on a well known facebook account and i got the answer back that not only premier finally switched over to the renaissance (also Finesse, Large Pro, ...)

For me that was not the factor to buy it, i have it since day one, but that shows that highly decorated producers dig this mpc and i m sure we will get some renaissance bangers served this year. With or without a new update,mixer,.. blabla.

Yes there is space for some more features (realtime timestretch for every pad) and improved chopping, but for me it works fine without that.

Same story with machine. For example, i think some nice beats from the mobb deep lp are produced with it. It does what it should do and fits too as a nice beat machine.
I would buy it also when n.i. stop to hold back features.

What i cannot believe is that realtime timestretch and pitchshift havent (?) make it to ni machine till now. I mean they have the Kontakt sampler for years with that features.

I cannot understand why there is no beatmachine out for YEARS with those features.. but thats another story.

And while waiting on updates go out buy some records, sample them, smoke a L, build some nice drums. Just do it how it was supposed to be done and quickly you forget about all this internet/software ****.

one love,

Alfred

January February March April May...but u r kinda right, although im not gonna buy certain gear cuz my favorite producers supposedly use it....its a nice and dope fun fact, if so...but we can only cover up that much, under the blanket of love....
and I wouldn't mind if the word hate (in most cases) is replaced by : criticism or heavy critique...im not gonna repeat over and over I love the mpc renaissance....i will call out my issues and problems with it, since I like to see that changed/improved/implemented.... For instance when I tweak my 809 hardware loses connection, and,CPU spikes with playback....that can't be right??? Right??
other issues are mentioned...but the discussion should go about improving and maintaining stability and the sweet workflow, yet expand possibilities and practical use...the discussion shouldn't go about pro- or against, or haterboy vs fanboy...
but yes its an awesome device but lets acknowledge flaws and problems and crashes, without being bashed for saying so....we do need 1.7 and me personally need it bad...and yes also without 1.7 I still am,able,to make dope music..and I smoke L's nonetheless with or without update :hmmm: ya"LL welcome btw to smoke with me...

hey Onderstroom, I know you love ur mp, and that u can do serious shi.t on it. I would love to take a look at ur pc to look for the bug that is doing it crash that much...I almost don't have any. And that makes me think maybe you'll still have crashes even with 1.7.
I know u'r using nexus, and I am not, so maybe is some in particular with that synth.
Did you tried a fresh system install with anything but mpc software? I guess you do...but maybe you don't...really feeling ur pain here...

:hmmm: Thats interesting. I think the last time I experianced a crash was when I was using Nexus. which I hardly ever use and I hardly ever get crashes. I am using windows7 64bit but im sure that happened to me just recently. Is that a known issue?

Yes that's my conclussion...but I don't know for sure...
Hey holand why don't you instal hackintosh and try it... There is a distro around that don't need a lot of tweaking. In my work computer I have it installed along with windows, and is working perfect...
