I'm really interested in the hardware/software sampling stuff (Maschine, the new MPC's, etc.) I just haven't been able to make the jump yet. Maschine Studio/MKII looks real nice but I am holding out hopes that these new MPC's will evolve into something awesome.

Until then - my 1K shall do me just fine.

This is irrelevant, but does anyone know what happened to this?

I think people are just a bit impatient and want the Ren to be their 'go-to' production tool for everything, especially as music seems to be heading in a more wacky direction where maximum flexibility is needed.

Anyway, I've not heard any Hellfire beats for some time. What gives?

Don't really know much about the standalone, or if it will even happen. But I know this update will make users much happier, including myself. We all want the same thing and are all users in the end!

I can't even remember what the proposed feature list was for 1.7…

I think the 'end of life' Ren could be a real bargain on the used market after all the software tweaks, but I'm hoping they release a true hybrid that covers all bases.

A true hybrid would be nice, but not sure if the cost would be low enough to be worth it. Even the beat thang was like $1500.
