I picked up one and have been testing it out for the last couple of days periodically. I gotta say, the BT Virtual needs work for sure since it doesn't recognize my A&H ZedR16 multiple outs. They said the coming update will fix it. As for the hardware, I'm impressed. It's fun to work with. As a sketchpad, it's wicked, although it's not very efficient if you want to to track through a mixer or audio interface since it only has 1 stereo pair of outputs. It has a lot of really useful features as far as putting track ideas quickly together. 16 layers of samples can be stacked on one pad and it has 128 note polyphony. Non destructive sample editing. Sample switching while sequence is playing, mute, solo, keygroups, swing, time stretch, pitch shift. It's built like a tank-very good build quality with metal casing. I did notice switching through samples which are on the SD card lags a bit and a few times crashed the OS. It's not perfect but if they support this and work on the OS, it will definitely be a useful box to make beats. You can even switch time signatures while a beat is playing which makes for easy beat variations/fills etc. Being able to edit/change each sample in a track while the beat is playing is cool too. To prevent crashes from SD cards/USB keys (could be the SD card causing the crash-who know at this point), it's better to save to the internal flash memory which is a gig in size. I'll need to do more testing but so far, wack name aside, this box shows promise. if they work out the bugs and add grid&step sequencer edit (which they say they're working on) then they will definitely have something. We'll see. If anyone has any serious questions, hit me up.
