xparis001: Will the plugin be able to send transport control

Yeh I'm not a fan of either of the above named artists.I'm not really concerned with timestretching,in the mpc,because I know it already has it.Plus like I said,I'm working in a daw ONLY.

I'm more concerned with transport controls when used as a plugin,like I originally posted.

Probably because no one has the answer....and Dan is hard at work with these new MPCs.

If these new MPCs can control a DAW's transport when used as a plugin...this will be a huge selling point as it is not possible with Maschine.

Agreed,this would be an immediate purchase for me. It would basically be like the control I feel I have with the 2500 in my daw,but yet open up the world of all the possibilities of the cpu integration, major.

Maschine doesn't opt for this,which makes it feel pretty constrained.

Well I guess this is a question the dev's don't wanna answer, (tough one) lol
either way I'll check back here from time to time to see if they do.. Hopefully they can either leave us with a YES OR NO.. as they obviously know now what it's capable of.

If it can do this then it would be game over!

Ok now Akai BETTER have this as a feature!

I like Maschine and I'm glad to see the transport addition, but my god after 3 years I still can't load a MIDI file?

Anyway, NI had stated for the last few years that the way they wrote the 1.00 engine meant a total rewrite to add transport in VST/AU mode. It's likely the truth as odd as it sounds from a design standpoint. I'm sure Akai knows this and probably left a means to add it easily if it isn't already there. They may have waited to confirm just waiting on if NI would switch it in Maschine. If NI hadn't announced this it would be another selling point as everybody hated this limitation in Maschine.

TBH, you may be talking to yourself here. Only two members of Akai have ever publicly posted on this forum regarding the Ren, and according to their public profile, neither have been back for months.

You could try their own support forum, although I suspect no one manning that is particularly clued up on the Ren, judging by this response:

I would personally lock the entire Ren forum down and see how long it takes them to come back 'cap in hand'.

The Ren forum is a joke anyway. There's not been a single informative post in months. It's just the same shit being churned around day after day.

Several forum members have been writing informative posts everyday...just to have threads derailed by individuals that have no interest in this product. Perhaps shut those individuals out so the forum is no longer a joke.
