Audio tracks most likely won't make it in the initial release as they would have advertised this as a core feature.

They said it outright in the first videos that it wouldn't have Audio tracks. There's no "most likley". It's 100% not going to be there.

moyphee, i can't agree with you on this. you are right they did say that in the first few videos. but it's possible that may change by release. they also said in the first few vids that there wouldn't be wav form editing on the lcd but months later said that it is on there. so no one can say what's 100% not going to be OR going to be until the unit is released. so we would have to wait until either Dan/Andy comes back or wait unit it drops to be sure what's 100% going to be there.

moyphee, it was a rep that first said wav form editing would not be on the LCD and then it was the same rep that later said it was going to be on there. but hey, to each its own.

Earlier...the MPC Ren was advertised to have 64 tracks. This was changed months back to reflect 128 tracks.

If you look carefully at the feature set on Akai's website, you may notice another change or two.

Obviously you missed the point....

Specifications of a product not released yet are subject to change. Then great Ren has changed since the original specification was made public and perhaps may change again. But as I wrote earlier....audio tracks will 'most likely' not be included in the initial release. And so far we appear to have a consensus that it's an important feature.

No. You are pretty consistent in poor reading comprehension and stalking me for over 4 years in these forums. But it's all good. You make threads entertaining.

A lot of great stuff is in store for the Ren. And yes....there are updates planned which will include feature requests.

I hope you purchase a Ren once it's released. I am sure your continued feedback will make it a better product.

It will be here when Akai wants to release it. That will be a great day for those of us that are genuinely interested in this product!

Propaganda is fatiguing. :smoker:

Anyway the best feature the Ren or Studio can have is a 2nd anniversary. The last time Numark released a controller/daw-like software combo of this scope it was stillborn. Dez right i said it.

The Ren's biggest obstacle isn't audio tracks. It's not ending up in Numarks ever growing graveyard of controllers...and of course that's all the new MPCs are.
