In another thread someone stated it would depend on the quality of the audio interface. I agree with that too.

But for me, I'm interested in the Studio. Since "automatically aquiring an ipad3" I have looked into the FLY also. Don't know about the compatibility yet, I was just looking at it.

Guess I should install that second disk "Komplete Elements" huh.. 8)
Just got one yesterday. I saw a video on youtube of a homey making a beat, and with the press of a button, a group had dropped in pitch, while keeping the tempo of the original sample.

I was hoping it was similar to the pitch shift in the beta software I tried for the Ren in May, which was just turning a knob.

So far its dope though. Software is fresh. Going through all the details today.

i really need to start spending more time with the Elements package, had no idea about this

Are you sure that this is true? I have the free element CD with my Maschine and as I said i got it 3 months back; i've just been thru Kontact 5 and there's no Time Machine feature, I've ran the software upgrade thing and I'm up to date.

This version looks a lot newer than mine:

For the current price, the Machine Mikro can't be beat. But it will still leave you wanting more if you came from a strictly hardware background like myself. For someone transitioning into a hybrid studio with hardware and software, now is the time to pull the trigger while the Mikro is sub$250...

Does anyone know if the mpc studio will record external automation from gear like mpc's do? If so that's the only drawback for me with the mikro i might just sell it and get the older brother just for the extra knobs on that.

You might want to check out SL-M1: http://liine.net/en/products/lemur/premium/sl-m1/

It's supposed to let you record external automation into Maschine's software.

ahh wish i didn't lose my ipod touch i'd try and run it on there. but this promo's making me bite in for the price atm so i'll be putting my mikro up for sale if anyones interested in a mikro for less then $200 without shipping pm me. everythings included unregistered

So I ended up getting the Mikro and testing it out, the controller seems sturdy better built quality then the MPD series IMO but the program kinda sucks, I mean if your focusing on just beat making then its ok, but coming from Logic and Pro Tools I feel it doesn't offer enough. The Sequencing is what bugs me ( its annoying), Im still mastering the program and the controller but so far its ok. Not too impressed, Im pretty sure Akai has NI beat when it comes to the program, lets hope.

what the hell is offline timestretch and pitchschifting, there's online version of it too :hmmm: are there features that require maschine to be online in order to use them :hmmm:
