"i would like to see implemented in the Ren" suggests that you have not seen them implemented in the Ren, and you hope they will be. Why would one list things he's seen implemented as "I would like to see them implemented"....
This is what confused me.
I'm sure it's all just semantics though. I understand what you're trying to say homey.

While I have no problem with these discussions, what Moyphee suggested, is happening, a lot on this forum. It's become more of an entertainment thing that anything else.

Let's be honest at this stage with no new information threads like serve no real purpose but to keep people engaged in this forum so they don't loose interest in the Ren. Fact is, at this point members are just making sh!+ up to talk about. :smoker:

You know that's what Jahrome gets paid to do...but I digress.

This is a cool example of what that old school 8 bit Sid Chip processinng sounds like. I'm surprised a DAW hasn't come out with a synth plug in like it...It's subtle presence can provide a lot of warmth to a beat.

The MV can do most of the list . Divide and Sample rate are out but the rest can be done. The MV is capped at 16 bit but you can drop th depth down to an unintelligible 1bit.
* Watching incoming waveforms and sample rates are useless.

The odd thing is that these features should be on the Ren if they've been on the 8000 since 2004. They added the three chop modes to the Ren so I don't see them not adding the rest.

+1 the MV can do most. Divide feature can be found on the Korg MS I think, wished they did a 16 pad version.

There's a plugin made by YMCK called magical8bigplug that produces these tones. Mimics mono video game sounds very well...

The Ren will obviously have one or more of these functions. What I have seen is not really the point of this thread. This is my complete guide to Sampling Mode. Do you find my list incomplete? If so, what is missing?

A useful and legitimate purpose. :|

I'm just realizing right now that we didn't get ANY information about the ren FROM AKAI for about 3 months. And I remember Dan saying we see "some more exclusive videos coming very, very soon." Now this was mid-april, 4 months ago.

I seriously forgot for a moment that Ren was coming out. Complete silence (apart from Jah spamming this side of the board with nonsense) is really weird this close to the estimated release date. Guess they're having some problems or just a last minute stretch to get it out.

They're probably still trying to work out how to do the whole vintage mode thing...

Even though there isn't much to talk about since the Ren is coming out in October. My two cents that a lot of the standard options for recording will be already included like on Maschine.

But the kicker would have the Ren like the fly able to sample tracks from your
computer's media library like iTunes or incorporate my audio editor like peak, sound forge o audacity since like the Aksys did for the 4K.

Why reinvent the wheel when there are hundreds of third party tools?

Just my two cents.

My ASRX-Pro does almost all those things well for the exception of #7.

The main reason why I still use it. It's Amazining what that red box from the 90’s could do. Should be beasting on the side of the Ren.
