It seems like the miscommunication has been cleared up and you understand what the Ren (and MPCs in general) can and cannot do.

Sounds like you have a feature request for streaming audio.....can never have too many so please add it to the growing list.

Thanks.

Everything you give describe is assigning after the fact.

lol what?! Give it a go on Battery. You can play samples on the pads BEFORE you load it up, you can hear it in context the second you load it up. You can have a midi pattern playing and switch out sounds in realtime.

MPC's work very similar but you have to load everything to RAM first and the program edit screen can be a bit annoying if you have s lot of samples loaded.

Thanks we got there in the end :-D .

Hopefully Dan will chime in and give his thoughts. I'd like to know whether they will accomodate people with newer computers who can stream audio with no need for the load screen. If they can figure out a way to give the best of both worlds then I'm in.

If anyone has time I'd like to see a picture of the program edit screen on the Ren, how you go about choosing your sound.

Cheers
