You look like a nice guy, but sometimes you should STFU
I know it is hard...for everybody to sometimes SFTU but you are abusing it bro!
No harsh feelings, just saying!
When shit is not quantize it is not possible to copy paste to the same place without using workarounds. That is the biggest problem with C/P in the mpc sw for me.
Always have to be very carefull where the notes are, and the transport line to be where I want.

When copying and pasting think more in terms of bars and just highlight everything you want to copy and paste based in the bars so if its 2 bars make sure the copy field covers right to the end bar then you can hit cmd & D on mac and it will just duplicate them exactly to the next two bars and the event will be in the correct place as it will just copy exactly whats in them bars I use this all the time speeds things up tremendously

actually I don't even think you need to set the bars just highlight your field from the start of the bar so basically this works best if your just wanting to copy something that starts from the start of bar as it will just put whatever you duplicate on the next available bar regardless so say if you copy from your snare then your snare will start at the next bar

with copy and paste you have to set the locator to where you want it pasted by using the start & end bar buttons to have it sit on the bar you want Ive only just realized this a I use duplicate mostly

I copy and paste the bars also. I doesn't matter if it's maschine, mpc etc....

 Doesn't anyone read what the thread is about, it is about copying and pasting when events have been recorded with timing correct is off, when the events do do happen right on the grid. :Sigh:

These methods do not work in that situation, you don't want them snapping to bars or the timing correct grid. :WTF:

Actually I didn't read the post, I just read the thread title. My bad but the same solution still applies regardless if the grid is on or not. Obviously it wouldn't snap but If you are programming without the grid anyway it would need to be placed in the exact spot.

The same solution does not apply.

If the first event that you are copying is not on the grid, and timing correct is on, it shifts that first event onto the timing correct grid.

If programming without using timing correct, and you want to copy some events to a different location within the sequence/song, you might well want it to be in the same position relative to the start of the bar.

I don't see why you wouldn't turn of time correct since it would shift the event?
I have never had a problem duplicating events time correct or not.

You just don't understand. :Sigh:

I think you are over complicating the solution. select the events an move them where you want them.
