What about moving tracks around with the mouse??
I mean reorganizing them to the place you want...at least changing its number to reorder or some!!

I think Hellfire is talking about INSERT plugins.

In Pro Tools, the slots are labeled a-j. The plugin shows the track and the slot. So in MPC, we can have a-d.

Thats why I mentioned before that a line tool would be really helpful. You can be a lot more precise when drawing automation that way.

If akai wants To Be on top, It should buy propellerhead, merge reason software with ren software, and Let akai focus on the hardware, and propellerhead on the software....
make the ren the flagship hardware for a new developed piece of software, It would Be on top of every game....even with the lack of vst plug ins...
