Just make sure the track is armed for recording to avoid latency..(press the "R" button in the track to arm it)

Anyone given up on using MPC Renaissance in Logik as plugin and reverted to Standalone? For whatever reason, too difficult, disrupts the flow, poor midi for external kit? Etc.

That's what i wanted to do in the beginning when i got the ren but i quickly gave up. The sync with the audio tracks in logic was buggy. I had to click back and forth between the ren and logic and it broke the workflow.
Now I do everything in the MPC software and bounce separate tracks in logic in wich i finalize the beat, record extra instruments or vocals if needed. The mixing part is much easier in logic for me.
That's the method i prefer, keeping the workflow of the ren, wich i love, and finish the beats in a DAW environment.
