Yeah, the effects on pad go straight to submix is annoying as @@@k. Even more annoying is that you have to export the submix separately when exporting tracks.
As far as the track mixers on sequences though, I know I am in the minority, but however they fix it, I hope they give us the option to still work with it as is. The MPC is the only software in which currently I can set different effects and levels for tracks on different sequences without serious automation. If I want the piano in one sequence to have a phaser, and in the next have a bit crusher, it's as easy as cake. I can get sound variations very easily by using different plugins on tracks across different sequences. However AKAI decides to update and "fix" the track mixer, I hope they let us keep the option of using it as is. I think it would be easy for them to put a global switch on the track mixer, and if you hit the global switch, the settings of that sequence's track mixer are set for all sequences. Not much different then what happens if you convert a song to sequence with the track mixer of the first sequence in the song.
