Ny one have an idea when 1.7 is coming,,,,,,,,

If Akai abandons the Ren, maybe JJ starts programming and we all live happily ever after...lol

im very happy with my studio dont think il go back to a regular mpc unless i can score a cheap 2500. akai would have dominated the market if they released the ren / studio before maschine but they went backwards released them once ni had already dominated an pretty much released the same thing with less features and at twice the price lol. anyway im still on software 1.2 is there any need for me to update to 1.6 ?? ive had no problems so far apart from the odd crash here and there an im able to do what i need to do with my studio what i mean is if i updated to 1.6 will there be an improvement in sound etc ? and will i have to re register or anything like that ?

You can go back to 1.2 if you don't like 1.6. 1.6 is rock solid for me, never had a crash.

yeah that ni talk is getting old. The Maschine doesnt do anything revolutionary, and to be honest its missing quite a few features as well. I would say that Akai is actually gaining on NI right now. Both units have a lot of prove.

Indeed although I think that Akai has more catching up to do, the next update should at least close the gap a lot more than what it is now. Itll take more than pretty colors on a screen to convince me IMO.

Well.. from an non bias point of view, I don't think they gaining any ground. I think people forget Maschine gets updates too uknow lol, and Ren updates come slow and are not impactful

On a more positive note, can't wait.

Not a game changer.. But i can't wait...
i hope they managed to fix the looping issue and they add more virtual outs..
The unified mixer will be a blessing..
I'm hoping for it to happen before i go off grid ...

The truth about it is, once 1.7 drops, people are going to complain and wait for 1.8.

Of course they will. No update ever fixes or adds everything in one hit..

But i know what you mean ..

I've been using jack osx with reaper as a workaround for a better mixer...
Works quite well actually
