VIP, and the way the touch screen is driven by the OS as a display, are the strongest indicators that a standalone mpc is coming - or some form of one. Oh, and also all of the "this is only the beginning" talk. But I'm not counting that... I have zero belief in the akai marketing / hype train. Lol

I think VIP integration will come along with the 2.0 OS, which will also drive the new flagship MPC. All opinion, no facts here. Just opinion.

How good/fast is the MPC Touch with the MPC software for recording and mainly:
1. cutting samples, !
also chopping, getting single samples from the chops, then aplying to pads, sequenze ?

how fast is it ? are the Zoom in and zoom out functions fast to handle ??
faster tahn a mpc1k-jjOS 2XL ? ( i´m fast on the 1k )
same for setting loop points, ....zoom in, set loop at a zero crossing
is there a Auto zero crossing detection function ?

i wonder if i can replace my 1k with the Touch ?
i´m mainly recording and cutting samples. needs to be superfast on that task . is it ?

You can download the demo and at least test all the functions that you are asking about. I have a 1k with jjos 2xl and another with 128xl.

The Mpc Studio/Ren/Touch is much faster at chopping, looping. As far as zooming in and out The Ren has a dedicated qlink to zoom in and out. The Touch has the touch screen or q link to zoom in and out.

There is a zero crossing button but there is no crossfade loop like jjos2xl. You can also can add slices by pressing an F button while the loop is playing. You can can also chop by copying pads and reseting the start and end points, that is a fast method also.

In sample edit mode you can bpm detect easier than the 1k.

I haven't used the "copy" function yet, how do you use it?

My memories shot, off the top of my head I forget how to map program and bank changes on MPC's. :WTF:
Lemme figure it out...

On some third party plugs even though the preset cursor shows a question mark you can push the + and - buttons to change it.

Shame the program edit screen with plug ins only shows numbers instead of what it is controlling.
