It seems you guys are more concerned with Akai's marketing than anything else. When Tutor launched this site....there was no You Tube...no MPC commericals.

Now we have the new generation of MPC users wanting Akai to teach them how to use it.

No....you were calling them lazy...and basically implying that you need fancy marketing videos.

Akai can not make a video that any significant number of forum members would learn something from. I am 100% convinced of that. There are several 3rd party entity's that are in the process of creating tutorials on how to get the most out of the Ren (pdf, videos, etc).

So if Akai doesn't deliver the advertising blitz that some of you are looking for...have no fear. You will see plenty of MPC Ren information once the product is widely available.

The video was great and I did take the time to go back to the previous videos by Dan and Andy explaining the ins and outs of the new Ren over previous mpcs on how it differs. Plus the manual helps too. Dan shows how you can search, audition and load sounds all from the hardware, set up simi pads, mute pads, and etc while Andy ran through the software and hardware making a smooth fluid dance and r&b beat using just the hardware on dp27 site. These were months ago and should be in the earlier posts of this thread. But because of the naysayers and some potential buyers wanted to see actual regular users using and critiquing the gear as they had doubts that Akai could make a competent product for the market.

Now we have the first regular buyers valiadating what Dan and Andy have been saying along and still people want more.

No one will be truly satisfied until you personal get your hands on one. But for me it seems to be working to level that i seen Dan and Andy showing before, it is like an traditional mpc workflow so it will be a breeze to learn, and it may go beyond maschine or at least comparable in the Daw realm which was my biggest desire so I will be satisfied when I get mine in another month. I'm a 4k owner so I'm content too.

Or you could just read what I actually wrote and not put words in my mouth. I merely made an observation. I don't care what they do. Makes no difference to me. I already bought the **** thing, so you can calm down.

Don't be so presumptuous. It would seem that your mistake here is in assuming that anyone here is referring to tutorials and secondly that anyone here is actually interested in your opinion, Jah. Moreover, are you not the same individual who assumed that other users, who are likely invariably more creative, skilled, and versed than yourself in both audio production and technical aptitude, somehow needed you to teach them the Ren and coach them about what features within it should interests them most? In case you never figured it out, we don't. Even for those who do need such a thing, how can you act appalled at the idea when you assumed that people needed such a thing from January to September in unison with your non-stop spamming?

In addition. If it's not obvious to you yet, it's become very predictable that as soon as someone so much as gives constructive criticism or call into question anything that Akai does or doesn't do you spawn up and try to counter it with some absurd claim that they are either "haters" or pre-occupied with some moot facet of Akai's business practices. You then follow it with an emoticon to somehow convince yourself that you actually made a point. It's dumbfounding how many threads I've come into and seen you ruin with this same adolescent need to defend Akai. Not everyone is out to shoot down Akai but you somehow can not accept that even people who are interested in Akai's products will still believe there are areas where they can improve.

Your need to argue and assume things about others is obviously the Dunning–Kruger effect in action. I would have "foed" you a long time ago but I don't even necessarily believe that you are intentionally malicious but more that you are a bit of a sociopath and unduly narcissistic. So I try to just look pass it.

What I posted had very little to do with Tutor. Tutor makes tutorials from what I see that very well may help multitudes of individuals learn the MPC and production techniques. I haven't read any of his material but I'm sure it benefits many. However, this has absolutely nothing to do with anything I posted and isn't what I was referring to.

What we don't need are people buying things and not knowing exactly how it's implemented. You know, like the UA Apollo you bought that you were completely wrong about in almost every respect of how it worked? I corrected you but what if you would have foolishly got it home and what you so innocently thought was possible wasn't? See? Videos could have helped you to know that what you so adamantly posted, in all of it's boastful and inaccurate detail, wasn't even possible in the manner you so matter-of-factly posted it. UA did put out videos however and it answered many questions for potential buyers apparently, except those who think such videos are "boring".

Besides, what you're saying makes no sense because the premise of what I suggested is no different than the reasoning behind companies like Akai giving demonstrations at NAMM or such, albeit in less detail. If the details weren't sketchy and they weren't working from a prototype there would likely not be a need for what I'm suggesting. The reality is though that the product was and is still in active development with many features still being added, apparently. I don't need tutorials but you seem to have a problem with people wanting more details so as to make a fully informed decision before a purchase. If a company can help people make an informed decision and get exactly what they want, why wouldn't they? If you're sitting on something like Live, other DAWs and already have hardware MPCs, Maschine and sundry…what you need to make the decision isn't a tutorial.

Come on, Jah. Your accusations are getting silly.

I guess the truth hurts sometimes. Calm down...I am certainly not appalled but obviously I ruffled some feathers by stating the obvious (yes...we were talking about marketing and tutorials which is what NI does).

So says the guy who's been overzealously embarrassing himself, complaining, whining and on the defensive for months. The truth is, not many here care what your opinion is despite your incessant need to share it. So, I'm sure you understand that statement more than the rest of us.

Blue Haze, check your PM.

It would seem I value your opinion as much as you value mine. But that has nothing to do with the conversation. We were talking about Akai's marketing and the need for them to teach you how to use an MPC. I'm just shocked as I have never heard an admittedly avid MPC user needing such things. Would it be great to have? I am sure of it. I love to see MPC Ren videos like the next enthused potential buyer. But it is certainly not needed...and I disagree that Akai would be lazy not releasing new videos. I would personally prefer most efforts of delivering a solid product and adding new features. But as noted....my opinion isn't valid.

You're talking about tutorials. What I'm referring to is something totally different. You are actually agreeing with me here in saying that such material would be great to have. That was my point. I never said it was dire. Now, if you will, back to the topic. I've said what I had to say regarding anything else. As for the rest, you can assume what you want, just as I have assumed that you don't even make music but are simply a collector.

I don't take you seriously enough to not like you, Jah. Hence why you aren't "foed". So let's just move on.

Re-read the posts. Marketing, tutorials, demonstrations, etc was the topic we were discussing. No need to get offended, talk about foe'ing people, hating/disliking, etc.

Too smooth things over....what would you like to see in a demonstration? I will post a video if you like when I get home.....(sitting in Chilli's waiting for my wings and skrimps). Lol

Jah, one more time. If I was offended, you would have been foed a long time ago. Yet, you are not. Stop reaching and let it go.

If you can't share the manual or something useful, then you've exhausted my interests in anything you can say on this matter.

Yeah man, he turned me against the whole Akai/Numark brand...but I read in somebody's signature that Andy Mac said he wasn't a Akai employee.
