MPC REN the most important MPC EVER

Of course you can make good music with these products. That was never the debate. We were talking about stability and support. Roland hated on the MV when they discontinued/abandoned the entire product line...like they did with the Fantom G. There is no getting around this fact.

The MPC Ren is the most important MPC ever because it shows Akai's committment to the continued advancement of the MPC line. Roland has no interest in anything related to their flagship MV-8800 or Fantom G.

Undeniable logic...

For all the Akai "haters" out there ( Y. K. W. Y. A. ) one cannot deny that no matter what Akai's support and O.S. updates in the past for other machines, this one, the RENNY Renaissance is different.
Akai has no choice BUT to offer constant upgrades and support based on the fact that now the MPC is tethered to a MAC or a PC, and CANNOT work without up to date drivers. Whenever these systems do a major release, AKAI will have to follow suit with new stuff, just to keep us all happy...and of course, WORKING...

What recent support or update has been offered for the 500,1000,2500, or 5000?

At this point users will be lucky that the unit is released and makes out of it's second year. This is not the first time Numark has put out controller combo of this scale. The history is against you as a customer. That's not hate.It's just the truth. Jack O'Donnel may have a short memory but the people who spent their cash are

This entire site is dedicated to a product that no other company can nor has ever matched...period. In 2 years, I will be here talking about what features I want in the Ren II.

Being that its the most important doesn't mean it needs to be in every bedroom. It's ok if you sit this one out.

It's an exciting time for MPC users. Everybody is going to be singing in the rain. From the Ren/Studio to the MPC 2500/1000 XL screens and new JJOS128XXX gear porn.

they abandoned the MV in a fully working state... with basically no issues... akai abandoned the mpc line with the most recent 4 models either not working at all.. or not worth working at all without the use of a 3rd party life saver (hardware or software wise..) ..

so maybe roland no longer makes updates to the mv.. that would be sweet if they did... however who cares if they dont since they work fine with no crashing or real issues...

while we have the 500 left unfinished software wise.. terrible pads .. I wish they would write a new OS for this machine... that would be awesome...
we have the 5000 left borderline unreliable... you want to buy a 5000 these days and chances are you are getting a re-stocked defect unit it appears.. we'll see if akai does the fan service they need to do and correct their wrong with the 5000...
the 1000 and 2500 are only doing well because someone else has access to the source code and is able to program for those machines (too bad they cant for the 500)..
akai abandoned all those models. Like roland, they do have them listed on their website... but they dont support them anymore... and basically they never did in the first place. It's sad, but true... not saying other companies dont have terrible support too.. im sure roland and korg have some bad products that they dont support... however akai is the only one who makes the mpc... so they are who people look at when complaining about bad support for mpcs.

that isn't hating on the ren though... cause maybe akai will turn things around since buying all these other brands and companies.. maybe they acquired a support department in the deals. Or maybe not and they will continue to make shoddy gear like a majority of the products they previously released.

Investing a lot of time getting feedback from actual MPC users (professionals, hobbyist, gear collectors ) and adding iZotope technology to the Ren showed me Akai was serious about advancing the MPC line.

While there is nothing official...Numark/Akai's parent company's aquistions of Air Software Group, SONiVOX, M Audio, etc could potentially have a positive impact on the development of the Ren and future MPCs.

So this is an exciting time for MPC users. There is no current or pending product on the market that has my full attention like the Ren does.

yeah im thinking withdrew from the standalone and are puttin they.re all into the ren as this is the next generation flagship love it or hate it this is a new era for akia and u better believe they will be providing support for years to come for this product.

akia recogniseed that hardware sales been dying off for some time hence the lack of continued support for them this is the natural cycle of things
