Renaissance Vs. Maschine

1. Maschine uses scences/ patterns vs sequence/tracks of mpc. As a mpc user sequence/tracks are far easy to learn. Maschine has a bit of a learning curve.

2. Maschine uses up to several pages to map out banks of samples; whereas, mpc has dedicated buttons for several banks of samples per programs.

3. You others can add.....

the ren is defo for studio and live use in dj sets

1. MPC Ren will support MIDI sequences...Maschine? Not at the moment
2. MPC Ren (like all MPCs) can save MPC drum programs. Maschine? It can not save drum kits. It just remembers the location of your drum samples. Can't save a drum kits and share it with your friends.
3. MPC Ren has a mixer, Maschine doesn't

1. You can import and export midi with the Maschine.

2. No doubt this will be on it's way as it's already being done in other NI VSTs. Probably a couple updates away.

3. Maschine has 16 outs. When used without a DAW you can still manipulate the samples volume, panning, adding effects, EQ etc. Just as you could a mixer. Just a different way of working.

NI will be sitting right waiting for the Ren to rip everything it has that the Maschine don't. Just like Facebook took all of Google+ features to stop Google+ from taking their users.

Shady world. Whatever the Ren. does you can pretty much ensure the Maschine will end up doing it too.

If you think the mpc-2500 is better than Maschine you shouldn't buy the MPC-R, because the MPC-R is Maschine made by Akai! lol.. The mpc-2500 is a Music Production (Center) the MPC-R is a Music Production (Controller) lol.. Once again it's Mashine made by Akai with a built in sound card, and more midi outs, which is perfect for me! lol.. If hardware is what you want, you look better keeping the 2500. What we really want is a MPC Hybrid!

I really do like the way Maschine handles sound browsing, lets hope Akai can match this.

I'm quite sure they cover all bases,seeing what the comp was doing.my thing is drag and drop to pads and sample chop .the kool thing is,it can read mp3's,cause my boy bless me with about 8000 of 'em

Maschine has the advantage of being able to browse plugin presets of all Komplete instrument or effects directly in the LCD display of the hardware controller. Having the LCD displays directly above and below the knobs and buttons that you're controlling is also key to the immediacy of the workflow instead of constantly having to glance back and forth between what you're controlling and the screen that shows you what you're controlling.

And a few years ago we said Maschine is an MPC made by Akai. Before that...an MV is an MPC made by Roland. No cool points for originality.

IF MPC Ren isn’t out until August, that is about 1 month later than my estimation. As I told you informed you in several other threads, most new products shown at Namm are not available. They typically hit stores 3-6 months after Namm’s debut…or 2-3 years if its Roger Linn/Dave Smith. MPCs are usually released during the Summer. So I expect a July release.
