True dat.

Just got a phone call to pick up the ASR-10 and the SCSI CD Rom drive I order. :D

**UPDATE***
Went to go pick up my ASR-10 and the delivery company refused payment. I don't speak much Japanese so I don't know what is going on. They just let me drive off with the keyboard without paying.

I had my wife call them..and they said they **** up. They thought I paid for the keyboard already so they gave me a receipt. If we didn't call them back, we would have potentially gotten away with a free keyboard.

We worked things out. They are going to come back out on another day and scan something in their catalog the same price of the keyboard and I will pay them then. Wow.....

That usually never happens there. Wow. Glad you got it taken care of though. It's only right to set it straight.

Just pulled the trigger....ordered the UAD Apollo interface in anticapation of the Ren to make my pre-production studio complete. :D

I've heard great things about the Apollo. I was honestly going to just use it as a midi controller if Akai wasn't going to add the standalone option. Man I may just go back to floppies and an MPC 2000XL and just track out into logic pro.

WAs thinking of copping this too.. but I'm gonna wait and see how good the driver software is... I've got the fire face and its solidly the most reliable piece of hardware for a computer that i've ever used. Rme stuff is good shit..

RME does make some excellent products. I own the HDSP 9652. Its collecting dust as no computer I own right now supports PCI..and I have just been too lazy to put it on eBay. RME needs to have an exchange program like some other companies are doing. I have a UAD-1 that I am no longer using for the same reason. But I can get $200 to be used towards a UAD-2 card.

TotalMix is more versatile than the UA Console when it comes to routing and their driver stability is up their with Metric Halo's but the Apollo drivers are solid (Mac OSX). I've been using one since maybe the 21st of March, so a few weeks of use, and everything is working fine so far. The only issue was with RealVerb Pro which has been fixed in v6.2.

I'm watching the new "MPC" line but am not yet convinced it will enhance my experience.

I guess I must have accidentally deleted my previous post.

Good deal, Lampdog. I was able to do some listening test with one and it really held it's own, to me. People who go that route are getting a potent interface with great features and a good sound.

Out of curiosity, if you intend on purchasing a Ren, do you plan on using the Ren's converters mostly or the UFX's?
