Im still very excited, but damn 4 more months, what happened to the May drop date.

There has never been a May drop date. It's always been Summer.

Just a BS question, but what were they thinking announcing something like this sooooo early. I know they did it for NAAM but damn.......

yeh i sampled in the stock kits from a asr-10 and layer heaps with them, they can knock hard

That is what NAAM is for. Plenty of companies showcase early previews of their products:

1. Every Akai MPC in recent memory were showcased at NAMM 4-8 months prior to being in stores.

2. NI Maschine was available until 3 months after NAMM

3. Roland's Fantom G wasn't available until 4 months after Namm

4. Korg Kronos debut at last years Namm. It didn't ship until May in Japan; June in the US; and depending on where you lived in Europe...you were still waiting in August.

5. Roger Linn and Dave Smith announced their new product almost 3 years before it was in stores. :lol:

6. Universal Audio just started shipping the Apollo recently. And the Thunderbolt option that often talk about will not be available until the Summer.

These are just a few examples...............

Also..forgot to mention Roland's Jupiter synths. The new Jupiter 50 was just demo'd last month. It won't be available until July.

A lot of people always say stay away from default and stock sounds.
I've never understood why when most of those sounds are really nice when layered. A single stock sound is flat and lifeless yes but why can't peeps realize that layering them is key? It's like a trend to spread mis-information or something?!? I layer several of my stock sounds and it always works for me.

I'm looking forward to the Ren as always. I adjusted to working with software some time ago. And the merging of hardware control and software flexibility is long coming. A few more months and I can retire my maschine.

Im not talking about layering and jammin up the sound,im just saying when i sample the same tuff hit into the 4000 and the same into the asr the 4 hits hardest.Hope you dont mean me when you say spreading misinfo.If not ignore my defence.as ive said before ive had over 30 samplers and am something of a test freak.Just dry quality samples 1 by one and seeing how they compare.In this regard the asr10 did not impress next to my other drum sampler. :? In all other regards its a monster.Ill carry on with my research when im home.If anyone has a example of there own basic hard hitting drum hits on the asr be my guest and post up....

Nope, I was speaking in general.

Many say stock sounds suck and many times they actually do until you layer them or tweak them.

I agree with this comment, except that my Maschine has been retired already.
