Well...I guess I am lucky. I have never purchased a lemon MPC.

How much was the "older, built like tanks" MPCs?

have you never heard all the stories of people buying 2500 and they glitch out from the start and dont work, or they just dont work outta the box?ive always been scared to buy a new mpc, i always buy em slightly used so i can be sure they have been working far a while, ive not had a problem getting a lemon, but i have had problems with the 1000 os, also the tact switchs numark uses suck, i bought a new mpd32 didnt use it that hardcore, or much and already the bank tactswitches are starting to fail, plus the pads outta the box sucked, i had to open it up and use electricians tape to shim the air gap inbetween the pad and sensor.

it's amazing how much jah will stand up for AKAI... it's actually quite sad to watch. and don't give me that "you're not a fan of AKAI products" rap... we've already had that discussion plenty of times. i'm simply not a fan of faulty products. i still have 3 MPCs in my setup though... even more AKAI products than you. and i happen to now be living in south america and see the old blue MPC being sold in a couple music stores here, so of course i'm going to speak about my experience first-hand rather than just blow it off like AKAI never did anything wrong... a friend of mine was interested in buying one and i had to school him on why not to get the blue model. did i mention that my mpc2500 is also faulty and occasionally has the known static sound issue which is highly annoying? i find myself using my 1000 more than my 2500 these days just because AKAI uses cheap components and have crappy customer service.

and of course AKAI takes care of YOU, jah... your lips are attached to their ass like the human centipede.

Its amazing that you have some odd crusade against Akai yet still own and spend all your time talking about their products.

I am a fan of Akai MPCs whether you like it or not. Outside of MPCs, the MPD32 and S2000 are the only Akai products I have ever purchased. I am 100% satisfied with the Akai products I have purchased over the past 15 years. Blue MPC 1000s in South America or Third World countries doesn't impact me or will ever change my views on Akai.

I really don't understand why you would be so perturbed that I have had nothing but great experiences with Akai products and services. It seems to me that you should obviously buy from another company that can better meet your needs.

...and grow up. Your continued insults make you look silly.

it's not a crusade against AKAI... it's your reluctancy to accept the obvious facts that annoys me. and not just me, but the majority of this forum. it's as if if no one is allowed to speak the truth without you accusing them of being AKAI haters. get off your damn cloud already. it's the fact that you take someone's actual experience with AKAI products and get so overly defensive about everything that AKAI has ever done that you seriously lose perspective of a valid argument. you go too far out of your way to constantly jump to their defense and constantly deny that you have any affiliation with them. i'm not trying to change YOUR mind, i don't even care what you think at this point because we all get it already... you love AKAI... you worship everything they've ever done [including fvcking over their loyal customers]. you've just gone as far as to justify those terrible acts of theirs in this forum by simply saying "well, that doesn't affect me". you see no wrong in their actions. i don't say these things about AKAI to change your mind, i state these FACTS here to balance out the one-sided conversation you love to have with yourself on this forum. and i'll be forced to continue calling you an ass-kisser as long as you keep acting like one. it's ironic that you'd tell me to grow up when i'm the one with the more realistic and mature perspective here... you're the one that still believes in the Akai Fairy.

Pleasing you or a few MPC 1000 JJ OS users is not on my agenda. Stick with your "Majority" in the JJ OS Forum if you are so annoyed. Take your so-called balance to that section of the forum. As I will write about every aspect of the MPC Ren/Studio until you are physically ill.

If you want to talk about the MPC Ren, lets have a discussion. You want to talk about how you believe the JJ OS is a better than Akai's software...I'm here.

But if you want to talk about how much you hate Akai...their products and services...you have done that so many times in the past several years. We get it...and don't need it in every thread. You add nothing positive or useful to this community.

wow... thanks for not understanding a single thing i've said in this entire thread.

and factual balancing isn't required in other sections of the forum... in other sections no one else gets as defensive as you do when someone else mentions their MPC having any issues... i've never seen someone stand up for AKAI's way of ignoring the mpc1000 pad issue before, your outlook on them doing nothing wrong there is definitely a first. i already know you're gonna talk about the renaissance non-stop... we all know that about you... because it's all you ever do. but please don't tell the other AKAI product owners that they hate AKAI just because they're stating FACTS. facts that have been well documented on this forum with pictures and dates and everything... just because AKAI has taken care of you for being a tester, developer, ass-kisser, whatever it is you're doing for them now, that doesn't mean that everyone else's experience has been the same. the rest of us aren't here to advertise akai's products, we're here to talk about our experiences with their products and keep it real.

now stop acting like a scientologist already.

Continue your crusade...it still doesn't change the fact that you add nothing positive to this community. Try sharing your experiences with the 3 MPCs you claim you own....in the appropriate forum.

I honestly don't think this is what inflict3 had in mind as a "discussion " when the thread was created. You two quit it already.

I assumed as much. As most threads about MPC 5000 issues in this forum are from non-owners. While the MPC 5000 is not flawless, it is still a good MPC.

The MPC 1000 pad issue was about 8 years ago. While I can't speak on the MPC 500 (as I have never owned one)..the pad issue is no longer a problem.

well, of course YOU like the mpc5000, jah... your name is even in the credits...

and how the hell are you gonna say the pads are no longer a problem on the MPC1000 when there are still thousands and thousands of MPCs out there with the old pads that AKAI couldn't be bothered to replace?? that would be like if they were to release a 2.0 version of the software and make the first people that jumped on buying the Renaissance have to PAY an extra $200 for the upgrade!!

Can confirm original pads on mpc models that arnt the original bk-n are shit and are still a problem. Even buying a new model now they are sold with the bad pads

Akai have not offered to replace my pads. i have complained.

The original OS that akai released DOES crash frequently. Since using JJOS1 i have had NO problems wish crashes.

Jah, i asked for a link to your music you never got back to me, why bro?

yea, i didnt have this in mind, ive stayed away from this forum for quite some time now and come back to see people talking all this stuff on the new mpcs, well guess what? they aint even **** out yet, its like how we would all fight on the bk threads back in the day. u peeps talking all this and that about the ren are swinging on kais nuts hard,. shits just a prototype at this point, when it drops if its the shit then start all ur threads about it. right now ur just wasting time and not making any beats.. do you even make beat anyways?? probably not....

These threads won't stop. Some of us are really looking forward to this product.

What you see in the videos is pretty much what you will see in a few months when it is released.

Who wants to make beatz? It is more fun talking about this new gear comparing it with current products on the market.
