your list is based on what you want. So the only person that can say if it's incomplete or not, is you.

If I made this list, I would've only listed the things I know it can't do. What you mentioned about chopping samples while its recording by tapping in division points, is a good idea.

The type of list that you want will come out after the Ren lis released. I am talking about every single feature (whether the Ren has it or not) that I would like to see included.

I would like it build in like the MPC FLY no workarounds as you could stroll through your songs cue up the tracks with virtual turntables and sample the parts you want.

Or just allow us to use a third party audio editor intergrated into Ren. This is a software first and foremost so allowing other software will help fill in the blanks. Why add all the fillers when integration is key part of using a computer.

...for developers, beta testers, and anyone interested in the Ren/Studio that would also like to see specific features implemented.

You never know who reads these threads....

One thought process is to ask for a function after its release. Another thought process is to ask for specific functions while it is being developed. I prefer the latter.

since you obviously beta testing ren and know for a fact that ren already got these features included. why in the world would you start a thread saying that you'd like to see these features after ren get released if it got them already, as if they might deleted between now and actual release date Im not sure if Im following the logic here...wouldnt it make more sense to ask about features it dont got or can improve on, going into specifics instead of broad range requests that are supposedly already in there..

Basically you're saying it dont got these features but you'd like to see them at the release or sometime during further OS development

Well I see what you are saying but it would be better if they were answering. Putting it out to us may be confusing a lot of cats following your logic if it already should have it included. I do believe the videos show what Ren can do now. Just it will be another 2 months to get it out into our hands just the long patient wait now.

On the real the request we all want it that it comes out in good time and it works fine.

I sincerely hope, being that its officially late summer, that they are done (or wrapping up) with version 1.0, and any completely new suggestions make it to 1.x

Like I said, I'm happy with what I've seen it can already do. Sure, there's some great ideas out there to add on, but there will always be great ideas out there to add on.

If someone from Akai called me and said "Hey, it's done. Everything we said it can do, it can do great. We were wondering, do you think we should not release it, and work on the ideas we saw on a forum yesterday, or release it now, with the ideas that we've implemented and advertised already?"

If it was April, sure, work on new ideas. There's plenty of time for that. Its almost Sept. Let's wrap it up fam. While I'm really looking forward to using this machine, I can safely say most of my immediate circle of producer friends won't wait much longer, and are already seeking alternatives. They aren't excited about a surprise function they didn't know it would have. They are excited about what's been advertised all this time.

You think so? Then I would suggest to all mods next time product developers appear in the forum, swiftly delete offending posts. Obviously, having developers here or not doesn't impact me one bit. But for forum members interested in the Ren and would like to have had continued adult conversations with the developers...they have lost out.

Anyone wishing to follow my logic simply needs to read my opening remarks in the threads I write and not skim over them. It clearly states what I would like to see...not what won't be included. If anyone can get confused over this....I can only imagine what will happen when they try to read and understand the Ren's manual.

I certainly don't think my thread will delay the release of the Ren in any way. If developers are looking for features for 1.x, my list is all inclusive (for my needs) so plenty to choose from if not already possible.

Personally, if I were you guys and interested in the Ren, I would spend more time talking about what I expect in the product, what I would like to see in said product, and how I intend to use said product.....as opposed to bickering about what I wrote in a feature request thread about my personal needs/wants.

Jah, come on man. What's obvious is your intentions for this post weren't clear. You could have chosen better wording, and several people in both of these posts being confused by the wording is evidence. Once you explained what you meant, I understood, and liked some of the ideas. Inferring that because people didn't understand your intentions, they won't understand the manual, is demeaning, and quite honestly, arrogant.

You want to talk MPC's. Cool. You want to help build on MPC's, admirable. But don't let your ego get in the way of that homey.

Jah you are taking it the wrong way. Like my man said we are fine with it the way it is. We all just want to see it come out. Any new anything can be addded or not that is all good but an great working as is unit is better at this point in the game. Everything is on par, right?

How your is unit? How is the sample editing and recording? How are the feel you know? That seems like you can give us til the final products hits the stores?

We can't answer for a unit you already got, right?
