I really like this idea. It is like having a Mode button that you can lock.
Coming from the MV I'd rather have a shift-lock option. I want it out of familiarity, but really don't know if it would be better on this platform based on this workflow...would work well for the pads banks, but then when moving from pad banks to the mode buttons I could see myself forgetting the lock was engaged (since the button can't illuminate) and continually ending up on the wrong screen. Would have to get used to it I guess...
