I see more plausible to PH to make a controller dedicated for Reason and kill the competence, they alredy did an audio interface not long ago, with quite a success.

There's a sweet propellorhead controller keyboard.. Forgot what it's called tho .

I would at least love a ren rack extension or something like that

but I also want to keep the current mpc environment...i really like the workflow, but I also love reason with audio tracks and all...like starting to create the track in the plain and simple mpc environment and be able to expand to all of reason features...
I also was thinking they should make the renaissance software a rack extension... But I probably wouldn't use the original software no more.... I also have the balance audio interface.... But honestly I mostly use the ren software, and just record and add little stuff in reason... But its kinda sucky I now have two interfaces and have to switch back and forth...always utilizing just one... Rather sell the balance... But it also contains my authorization, and the ren won't run as interface in reason as far as I know

The renaissance works good as interface in Reason...why whould you think otherwise?

Havent tried It yet aight im a try that then... But then its Just a big sound interface with al the functions of the ren gone, i can Just as well use the balance

An MPC Rack Extension and Rewire support feature requests have been requested by multiple Ren users and forwarded to Akai.

If an MPC RE was created, and it's about as likely as Jesus returning tomorrow, it wouldn't host VST/AU. So I don't really see the point. It would just be a sampler /sequencer inside an already capable sequencer in an app that already has 5 different devices to load samples in.

ReWire I could see being beneficial, it's nice who a ReWire enabled app neatly sorts all your MIDI/Audio routing to the ReWire master in a neat and simple Menu.

Yeah, I agree! I'd rather be able to use Reason directly inside the MPC!

I do one Kong to Maschine with Energy XT Rewire plugin, but I really would like full ReWire Hosting functionality. And I''m sure you'd love to see both Maschine and Ren be able have x amount of Reason rack modules piped in, having both Hellfire.

This missing RE-CHOP enhancement is the reason why my MPC studio is sitting on the shelve (MPC4000 and 3000 user) sad but true

RE-CHOP for the MPC SOFTWARE 1.5 ! (Courtesy of JAH)

1. Open MPC software with MPC Ren/Studio connected via USB

2. Load 'Sample.wav'

3. Enter Sample Edit Chop Mode

4. Chop 'Sample.wav' via 16 Regions; slices are automapped to Pad Bank A

5. Strike Pad A05 to select Region 5

6. Press F3 [Rechop]

7. F3 opens 'Rechop' menu with options to rechop Region 5 via Threshold, Regions, BPM with applicable params plus F4 [Cancel] and F5 [Do It]

8. F4 [Cancel] cancels operation

9. F5 [Do It] rechops Region 5 and maps the new slices to the pads between the previous Region 4 and Region 6.
