MIDI Clock Out on Only Two MIDI ports??? + Other Fun Issues

Well it looks like we can now slave the Ren to clock (per the notes); I have not tried it out as I am finally between projects so I am just updating to 1.4 now. Kind of interested to see how well that works.

However, the primary point of this thread is get MIDI Clock Out on ALL four of those lovely MIDI ports on the back of the Ren (y'know, just like on the "old" standalone boxes). I am bumping this to put it on the 1.5 radar... my workflow would be soooo much easier if I could just slave a few more pieces of gear to the Ren rather than muck about with workarounds... and I know I am not alone in feeling this!

Forgot about this thread. We got our hopes up and Akai delivered the Sync options users asked for.

Hopefully, we can get Sync on all MIDI Outs within the next update or so....

As far as I know the MPC-R sending MIDI Clock isn't working at all.

^^^On the ren? It works just fine on two ports (be they the MIDI ports on the back of the ren or via USB) under 1.3. I slave my Virus to it via USB and my x2 TT 303s via a Ren MIDI port through a MIDI Thru box. They lock in to the Ren clock great. The Ren just can't send it out on four ports, which is bonkers as the hardware MPCs it replaced can.

Interesting, My Line6 Echo Pro does not receive any MIDI Clock ?!
