Thats just crap talking...anyway you can send the audio from Ren standalone to Live via Jack osx wich is even worst than soundflower latency wise, or if you got another soundcard send physically Ren's out to Live (you got just 4 mono outs...).

Using mpc software as a plug-in in Live is even worst, you got just 7 stero outputs and you cant send midi properly to plug-ins on more than one mid channel.

Ableton Live suck about midi routing, but maybe you already know cause you use Live form version 5 right? :lol: :WTF: :Sigh:

Approx. 40 gigs free.
I shall try writing on an external USB drive later on once I'm home.

10% of hdd space should be kept free at all times.

I recommend 10% for windows, to avoid serious fragmentation.
I recommend 5% for linux, to avoid serious fragmentation.

I don't know Mac, someone else has to answer.

Never sell a hardware MPC unless you haven't used it for years, and even then, only if you are completely sure that you'll never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, use it again.

I would recomend half the free space for your system drive to run smooth in any OS you are on. and of course if you are in windows you have to have at least the double of you RAM memory free for Windows to write the hyber.sys and page.sys files that are an exact copy of your RAM memory in the HDD. I use the same rule for mac and everything works sound!!! I have all my shit in a 139€ 2TB WD my passport external USB3 drive.and a back up copy of important stuff in another 2 computers. Only application stuff in the system drive!

I would say....Never sell a hardware MPC if you have a special or limited edition one in excellent condition. Otherwise....there are hundreds of them widely available in many countries should you sell it and later want another. They are

.....I would never get rid if an MPC compatible SCSI drive.....

My MBP used to run on 30GB SSD as primary that was filled up never had problem with it. Not saying that this couldnt be the problem, but from personal experience it ran just fine. I was using known brand OCZ Vortex, I'm aware experience can vary, especially when using first iteration of SSDs with older controllers whatnot.

I own a 2500, a 3000, and a 4000 and I regret selling my 2000XL. It was my first. Don't know what I was thinking.

Also as far as selling an MPC just to buy it another one later, if you've really spent time with your machine and made it your own, invested in it, and developed a connection with it, that's hard to replace. My 4000 is filled with samples and libraries that are damn near impossible to get now. NO WAY I'd ever give that up. Just sayin'.

As for getting back to the topic...ahem...

I freed some space on my SSD hard drive so that there's 52.5 gigs free.
Saving still causes crashing.

Tried saving on an external USB drive that's non-SSD.
Saving still causes crashing.
