You have to vote that into the Top 10 and keep your fingers crossed.

It seems very underwhelming if those are the highlights from 4 month's work. The dongle situation would probably only take an hour or so to reverse engineer, if that. The 16 Levels stuff would probably take a week of tinkering to get right, and the Control mode is more than likely a port from the MPDs.
Hopefully they've held back a few surprises...

A lot of work went into bug fixes and stability.
MIDI Control Mode and using the software without the controller are major....two features that have stayed in folks Top 10 lists across multiple polls.

JAH, do the 4 MIDI outs transmit clock? I remember back in 1.2 or 3 when only two of four MIDI outs worked sending MIDI clock. Just wondering if that ever got updated?
Thanks.

I have to agree with Coz I hope more is coming

This is computer software. Unless you have the same spec computer, same OS, same plugins, and use it in a similar manner, your experience may not be the same. I shouldn't have to explain this....
You remembered incorrectly.......or simply making general assumptions in an attempt to derail the thread. Stop it. You can seek out other experienced Ren users (several that are in this thread) and get their second, third, fourth opinions....
As I wrote above, users will find bug fixes and increased stability.....enjoy your MPCs. I do.

looking good hopefully the controller mode can be further developed where you get a recognized control surface profile in your daw like the mpd ect and thus no need to load the plugin
but this is a giant leap for me
keep it coming

They have obviously been concentrating software development time on getting Elements going, so they can get some return on their Fly investments/mistakes.

I really hope they've added more than just #4 in the top priorities list. Muilti-Core support is a bare minimum when it comes to importance for me. I have a quad core machine and a 12 core machine. Running it in stand alone mode and seeing one core working is sad. One Kontact instance and two Diva instances (running in great mode w/ multi-threading) plus 2 MIDI tracks and Im getting audio dropouts and clipping from CPU overload. 5 track sequence on a quad-core i7 and that's it... Really? The audio tracks thing is the other major importance at least to me. I'd like to work only in the stand alone app and w/o this it's impossible to do so. With that being said I do appreciate the development team working on bringing the Ren into a more mature product.
Top 5:
Multicore
Audio tracks
Nondestructive chopping
Use software without controller
Mixer

I don't wanna be an ass because i love my Ren, i respect the dev team and i want this mpc to be a major success...
BUT
no multicore support
no global mixer
no audio tracks
When i use the MPC Software, of course i will use the hardware too. The hardware is awesome, it fits perfectly. If anything is cool about the Ren so far is the hardware, the soft need improvements... I'll never use MPC Software without the Ren, lolz...
Ability to use the hardware as a midi controller ? OK.... This isn't the direction i wanted them to take. I want the MPC Software to become a full real DAW. If you can use the MPC Hardware with any DAW flawlessly, let's just dump the Soft....
