Did you switch USB Mode to OFF in the Fantom, instead of MIDI?

You listed the Fantom settings, and said that USB Mode is set to MIDI, it needs to be set to OFF instead of MIDI.

settings in usb fantom there is only two options
MIDI or Storage
Fantom is already in the storage method and midi thru off

Have you tested it with the Fantom MIDI output connected to the Fantom MIDI input, with Local MIDI switched off and USB Mode set to storage, listening to the Fantom headphone output, again, to see if the Fantom MIDI input is working?

Do you have any other MIDI keyboards or pad controllers, that you can use to test the Fantom MIDI input?

yeah
tested the midi cable
on and off in the fantom
and the sound comes out perfectly

OK, the Fantom MIDI input is working.

Now you need to try to get the MIDI output from the MPC, connected to the MIDI input of the Fantom, and working.

already tried all possible connections between MIDI fantom and mpc
and still no sound coming out
in drum program
when you hit a pad on the MPC sound out the fantom
but when I create a mid A1 program the sound does not come out

So is an MPC drum program is sending MIDI to the Fantom, and the Fantom is playing the Fantom patch assigned to MIDI channel 1 in the Fantom, through the Fantom headphone output?

Are you sure that in MPC Software Preferences/MIDI/MIDI Mapping, that the MPC Output A is mapped to the Renaissance MIDI Output A?

If you have tried it again, after setting Fantom USB Mode to Storage instead of MIDI, then I am all out of ideas.

Hopefully someone else can help you.

I would try plugging the MPC MIDI Output 1 into your Impact MIDI input, and run a MIDI monitor utility set to the Impact MIDI input, to see if the MIDI note on/off messages are being sent out of the MPC MIDI Output 1 correctly.

preferences in mpc active midi imputs the fantom not appear
only tc near interface, mpc public port, and mpc mpc 1 2

The Fantom does not appear in active MIDI inputs because it is plugged into MPC MIDI Input 1, and the MPC does not know what device is connected to MPC MIDI Input 1, it shows it as MPC MIDI Input 1.

I will use the fantom patches in kontakt
and I will give up trying to use the fantom as sound module

hey man I just got an answer from a rep @ Akai and basically what you're trying to do can't be done with the software in standalone mode!!!! sucks I know but he told me you have to open the software up as a plug-in in a DAW!!!

You can't send MIDI out of MPC Software to an external device in standalone mode?

I don't think the Akai rep understood what you were asking!
