Nah they should just hired me,they used a about 3 of my feature request and they are curenrly working on my 4th which is to have each track with it own seperate bar count. At least bless me with a ren to demo.

Your feature requests? Hmmmmm...which ones exactly. I think quite a few people can claim the same thing. :P

why did akai never complete the os for the mpc4k
why did someone representing akai (scd) request a bug report for the mpc4k and then do nothing
why did akai never come out with a new os for the mpc5k since version 2.0? you say its on your radar but frankly thats lame....its almost THREE years ago since 2.0 was released,,,and that, only cos just blaze ripped your product to pieces
why did jj have to make the mpc1k and mpc25k what they are today?
no 64 bit support....another fail
original mpc1000 blue pad upgrade...another fail.....

you say youre incorporating features x,y,z on these controllers based on feedback from users on the forums, on mpc3000 users....how comes ya never did nowt for all the users with os problems...you cant have it both ways... :x

sure youve a big hype on this new computer controller move yourve made....but you have seriously screwed up concerning stand alone mpcs

think about this.....a lot of people who may possibly buy these new products...are current standalone mpc users....who have been neglected for ages now....

you say you have no resources to have your own forum, yet you are releasing a bunch of new products, not only the mpc controllers

it just doesnt add up

ok, i go crawl under my rock now....

ps i pity the beat testers who buy these products when they come out

pps the rant is not aimed at xparis001, its aimed at akai :D

Good post with great questions. Thanks for mentioning the 5000 update that's long overdue. I asked xparis001 if he could divulge any update details and I didn't even get a "I'm sorry, I can't release that information", so it's nothing personal but given Akai's history with (not) updating MPCs, I don't believe they give a sh*t about the stand alone units at this point. I don't know what's involved in OS programming but I know it doesn't take 3 years to fit bug fixes into your project schedule... if you've actually put it IN your project plans to begin with. I don't believe there's any reason why Akai can't integrate the stand alone MPCs (including the 4000) to work with controlling at least some parameters of the upcoming software in a 64 bit environment. If they truly care about keeping long time customers, this is something they should definitely look at.

hmm, sorry, man. didnt see any PMs from you.

As I said in another thread, yes, we're aware the 5000 needs an update, and plan on releasing one, but I have no timetable. Sorry, but I cant say anything more specific than that.

"Your" idea about each track having its own seperate bar count has been brought up here in the forums as far back as the early to mid 2000s. You can't lay claim to that one :P

xparis001 thanks for the heads up on the 5000 update. Besides the obvious, is there any connection between the mpc5000 update and the ren software?

no, actually, the team is a completely different team. The Effects in the MPC Ren use the same algorythms but the basic code is different.

Ok. I am going to give you props for the idea. It doesn't matter if it is listed in 1,000 feature requests posts. Its still a great idea. :D

I can't see myself giving away a Ren...but perhaps I may give away a Studio if people behave themselves around here. Maybe have a contest of some sort.

But I am not joking. But it will depend on the selling price. Or I may have a contest to give away Maschine.

I just want to say one thing,
from sharing the idea of new products akai,
certain users have participated in this forum using the force, so speaking.
looking like bandits.
in my opinion,
a really good product, it should be on the table from the beginning.
because it seems to me that is pure speculation and use of information from other people / companies for their own benefit, of course, but, my profit?
interested in working as a beta tester for akai getting a salary, I have nothing to say or play in this game.

carefully, greetings.

No worries, my question was the last post on the 2nd page of this thread.

Looking forward to the update.

who requested these features? that person would be very apt to make a demo video explaining it.
thank you very much.

peace

all this display, I never understood its practical function ( how it work? ).

Image

below this area, I never appreciated its effectiveness. ( presets male vox A & adjust)
Image

I need only one person in this forum to help me open my eyes here at these 3 points / pictures.
Image

someone who can explain why he/she could not live without these features?
maybe I need a high quality audio/video to appreciate it.

sorry,

I always thought it was makeup

or am I missing something?

Thanks for your attention.
