It's like when a hardcore artist sells his soul and becomes a pop artist. All his real fans drop him and listen out for the next best thing. That is how trends happen and the only thing constant is change.

Akai is not some perfect audio hardware producer, they have flaws and if they can't accept and become willing to accept their faults, they will perish like the rest of the shitty drum machines. If you don't make it good, someone else **** in will. This was proved by JJOS

this may have been answered already, but...

you can export as audio or as midi, and you can export as a mixdown, or individual tracks.

we dont do the drag / drop thing, because if you were using 128 track of audio, you'd have to do it 128 times, so we do it as an export in 1 step.

Wav, Midi, MP3, AIFF all supported.

yeah I realized that Akai's software solved the problem through a different method. Awesome.

I'm really thunderstruck about this point of the design and development of the machine and soft...till now in September 2015!!

The last response for this specific issue,...was simply ridiculous, and the forced limitations in the midi out recording, the drag&drop option or different OBVIOUS workflow aspects for using the MPC soft into or integrated with DAWS is simply pathetic...

I've been holding on, just in case the versions 1.8 could solve some of these shamely estrategies and lack of any acceptable functionality for a product like this in 2015. But, it is obvious that AKAI is ridiculously narrow minded, speculative and even malicious or simply lazy and slacker in the essential and obvious needs for these aspects, on modern integration and flexibility (what they are scared of? They expected the MPC daw to be the new standard??!! WTF!!!), which they will be adondoning with the new set of MPDs, and MPCs reviewed...in maybe one more year?

It's really a nonsense the kind of POVs, arguments or excuses from AKAI...and for sure the fanboy's justification for things that are simply intolerable.
