I had a look and they're priced at £699 with free postage. Seems like we get a better deal than the US. :-D

£379 for the Studio as well.

Yeah £379 is a steal for the Studio!

£100 less than the new Maschine unit.

It's drawback though for me is that there's only 4 Q-links at a time (maschine has 8 knobs) and i'd like more hands-on control over parameters that's why i'm asking above if external controllers can be used to tweak sounds/effects/vsts etc.

59 minutes, 59 seconds. But I have never tried recording that length of a sample. I will try it now.

Meaning we can load in an .mp3 or .wav that's up to an hour long and begin chopping?

yup

Ok I did a conversion check:

£699 = first site: $1108.46 2nd site: $1109.13
£379 = first site: $601.01 2nd site: $601.37

Hey...I checked it out and they are getting a $200 break on the REN! The Studio is spot on. This may just be a discount on the REN from an online site. If you look at RunningonE's pics he had a discount as well, he also paid 11...something (I think more that 1108.00 though).

I can understand that...but have you ever used an older MPC? Most MPCs have less than 4 Qlink controls. They also include cursor keys and a data wheel. Using these various controls, they have hands on access to all params. The MPC Studio should have nearly the same level of control as one of these older MPCs.

Even better than that if you are a VAT registered business in the UK, because you can claim 20% VAT back, so it would only be around £580, which is around $900.

Thing is though, we tend to get screwed on most electronic goods in the UK, Apple products tend to be massively overpriced compared to the US, as are a lot of software products i.e. Adobe, Steinberg etc.

Can u pitch shift and time strech in the slice mode while adjusting start and end points?

Can u preview samples on the pad before loading, while seq is running?

Think my epic post was missed and it was just the price in uk that was picked up.

Is someone able to answer my questions with regards to external controllers (or the likes of TouchOSC on iPad) and recording automation in my first post on this thread.
Also the one about what can be assigned to the 16 current pads - can it be a mix of both samples and vst notes/chords?

See my orig post a couple of pages back for the full questions and more info on what I mean.

Cheers
