I don't see this issue on OSX 10.7.5

1. Create a Keygroup Program on Track 1
2. Load a 'kik drum.wav' sample
3. Enter Program Edit Mode
4. Change NO. KG from 1 to 5
5. Set KG Select to ALL
6. Insert 'kik drum.wav' in Sample Layer 1
7. Set SEMI Tuning for Sample Layer 1 to 20
8. Insert 'Model 2' filter; set CUTOFF to 100
9. Set KG SELECT to any KG from 1 to 5 and verify settings

Results - All the KGs have 'kik drum.wav' in Sample Layer 1; SEMI Tuning is 20, Model 2 is the Filter, and CUTOFF is 100.

It performs as I expect.

Next bug in keygroup sampling.

Go to the LFO mod page.

Qlinks have the wrong display names when adjusting parameters.

E.g. Qlink three is the LFOMOD when adjusting qlink 3 parameter display shows Q3:Sample Play =100

Wheel>LFO function doesn't seem to work. Checked my modwheel in Logic its working so not sure whats going on there.

LFO>PAN q-link does nothing, software knob works though.

Regarding the question about "Did you reboot after the software install?" Did anybody else see the "Launch MPC" option at the end of the install?

FYI, beta testers are not expected to run their installation on multiple platforms, that's the point of having multiple beta testers each with different computer configs. Anyway, please keep this on topic.

Don't know if this works for ATI cards but:

I played with the nVidia display tool a bit. First you put the Akai window on your second screen and than make it full screen. It will remain in the native resolution as your main screen (1600x900 for me).

Now start the nVidia tool and make your secondary display (the one that you have connected over the HDMI cable) your primary display.

This solves the problem... until you unplug the monitor again or restart the software.

Would love to have a proper fix for that or a more convenient workaround....

If you open it, and add a slice, the slice marker appears right where you double clicked (on the arrow), until you move a slice manually. Afterward, added slices appear directly to the left of the arrow.

Extreme values in Akai plugin knobs are difficult to get to, Hardware and Software. And in hardaware creates inconsistent values as oposed to the Software
Gonna try later at home with the studio to see if I get the same problem as with the Ren

This is happening with the studio too! But it does not happen with 3th party plugins, only with akai plugins.

Project Archive Bugs (Mac OSx Lion)

Issue 1:

Save a project as 'test-archive.xpj' to Desktop
File > EXPORT > as project archive
In pop up, the default location appears to be inside the project file itself (Desktop/test-archive.xpj') - if you hit save, it naturally won't save.

So you have to make sure you select a specific folder to save it to. IMO, the software should move you up to Desktop as the saving location in this example.

Issue 2:

Double click the XPA file and the currently loaded project is instantly deleted from active memory. If you change your mind about loading the XPA (i.e. hit CANCEL), it does not restore the previously active project.

Issue 3

After double clicking the XPA and hitting 'Cancel' in the 'select directory' pop up, I get the message 'There was an error loading this file....'.

MPC2000XL All File:

Is anyone getting issues with MPC2000XL ALL files? If I load up the individual MID files, no obvious problems, but if I load an ALL file containing the same 4 bar sequence, only the first 1.5 bars of data are loaded.

Hardware 'Rename' Button

I know there's no 'naming' options in the hardware, but could not remember if this 'glitch' was present in 1.2 - when loading a sample (that already exists in the Project Information panel), the hardware has a 'Rename' button (F4). It doesn't do anything when you press it, so not sure why it's there.

All of my 2000xl files are loading up as programmed. With the obvious exception of the difference in amp envelopes, everything else is spot on.
