so you hit a pad and it puts in a cue point or slice as it continues recording

bit like the way cd deck or traktor would operate with que points so you grabbing
bits of sample on the fly.

i would pay extra for updates with stuff like this in it whatever it takes to make the
a better

I said this some months ago and no one cared...i should be able to play an album, navigate using data wheel like a scub, then set loop IN and loop OUT to mark regions then extract and send straight to chop shop :)

well i'd love something like this we may see some more interest when they integrate
traktor with maschine thats the rumor any how but for now just looks like just the two of us that are interested.

I work on the 4000 but do half of my diggin for loops & stabs in traktor.. Got this baby hooked up to macbook air and you can imagine how productive my shit is. I record my dope wax to wav, side a.wav and side b.wav so don't have to run back and forth to the turntable to hear it all.. . in fact i'm playing shit right now so not really wasting time when on forums lol

Traktor and Maschine already integrate together pretty well, although even further integration is in the works from what I hear. Currently, you can sync both in standalone mode or just drag and drop directly from Maschine into Traktor like this:

for me personally these two are really BIG:

please consider the following improvements to the CHOP SHOP:

1) Re-Chop button, located between Chop and Trim

Function:

Allow to Re-Chop a previously created region:

I would like to chop a sample by region first, i.e. take a 32 bar sample and slice it into 4 regions. Then select first region by pressing the relevant pad, hit re-chop, and re-chop it by transients. Go to the next original region and re-chop it by lets say BPM.-- and so on and so forth....

The result should all be mapped to 1 program, when done I woud convert the program. re-chop should work on any already existing region, it basically treats the selected region as a sample but does not disregard other regions in the sample. In theory i should be able to Re-Chop until all my pads are filled up.

2) Loop in chop mode

in Chop to Region mode, allow the region to be looped, so when i hit the play it loops that region rather than just playing to end of sample, maybe using a modifier key such a shift and mpc pad

I just picked up the studio and will get a REN by the end of the year, I really hope Akai will at some point allow me to loop a region and halve an already split region over again on the same screen. All the other stuff is heavily talked about so i dont really care cause it will be done sooner or later..
