Ren setup with tb-3

I will try another USB port and I'll try the ren USB to see if there any difference tomorrow,
Least there's a pattern I suppose it's better then it being random ,it def cycles every 50 secs for 7 secs

What are the settings in MPC Software/Preferences/Audio, for Audio Device Type, Device, Sample Rate, Audio Buffer Size?

Does the "Show device control panel button" work, and does it do anything?

Are you powering the TB-3 from the USB port, or from an external power adapter?

Buffer is at 1024

Is that in the mac audio setting if so yes I can see that but u can't do much

Yes, try it with an external power adapter, in case it is some sort of power issue between the TB-3 and the Mac USB bus.

Make sure the power adapter matches the required specs for the TB-3 exactly though, you don't want to damage it by using an incorrect power adapter.

The "Show device control panel" button is in the MPC Software Preferences/Audio window, underneath the Audio Buffer Size setting.

Post up the MPC Software Preferences/Audio settings when you get a chance, so we can see what they are set to.

No problem, settings seem like they should work.

Control panel button might only be there when running on Windows.

What is the Output and Input set to?

Are there any TB-3 related settings in the Mac System Preferences/Sound control panel, or in the Mac Audio MIDI Setup utility audio window?

Tried the power adaptor still the same

Output - ren
Input - tb

Maybe try it with both the Input and the Output set to the TB-3, listening through the TB-3 audio outputs or headphone output, and see if it still has the same problem.

Might be an issue with the way MPC Software handles a different audio interface for the input and output, possibly not handling digital sync between the two devices properly.

It's not in the tb head phone socket
If I set input output to the Tb ,I've got my head phones in the mono socket and it's gone
Switched it back to the ren put heaphones in and it's back
So it's the ren good to know ,
I'll just set it to the tb output when I record the tb and monitor it with headphones from the tb ,could buy a little mixer ,I can't use the tb full time the volume don't match the ren ,tb seems to loud ,

Least it works sort of

Plug in the analogue outputs of the TB-3 into the Renaissance inputs, and use the Renaissance Direct Mon knob towards the Input side to monitor the TB-3 audio outputs through the Renaissance audio interface, into your speakers, while the MPC Software output is set to TB-3.

That thing looks awesome. They said they are making an SH101 emulation for it, that's almost good enough for me since they made the original I'm sure it'll be the best sounding one out there.

Definitely need to do some trouble shooting and narrow the problem down to the source. So this only happens when you have it plugged into the Ren? Have you tried listening the TB-3 directly (taking the Ren and Computer out of the equation)?

Seems like it might be a problem due to having the input set to the TB-3 and the output set to the Renaissance.

I think it might have been mentioned as an issue before, having a different input device to the output device.

Probably some sort of digital sync problem with using different/unsynced digital devices.

He said it was working OK with the TB-3 as both the input and output device, or when listening to the TB-3 analogue output directly.
