I don't know if this guy is around here in the forums, but he for sure is going to musikmesse and maybe he could throw some light on more 1.4 features...

The MPC Ren/Studio software has a Loop param which allows you to select which region of the sequence you want to loop. By default, sequences are set to loop at the end of the sequence. But this can be changed:

1. User [Cursor] buttons to navigate to 'Loop' field
2. Press [Window] button to open 'Loop Measures' window
3. Set the First Bar and Last Bar of your loop. You can also add additional bars.
4. Note that the 'blue' field above the sequencer grid indicates the loop points

You can adjust your loop settings while the sequencer is playing or stopped. This is a method you can use for linear recording and building your composition one loop at a time. The [Locator] key and transport functions as well as the data dial can be used to navigate to different sections of your sequence. I prefer to use this method in Track View Mode.

In the following video, I have 4 of the Factory Programs and Sequences recorded to a single sequence to display how you can use the sequence loop function. This is an alternative to doing the samething by chaining these sequences in Song Mode:
