I thought E and B were the best. They had the most votes early on but C came out of nowhere and took the lead.

I think this proves that the RENs vintage mode is 100% super fantastic. As E was Ren's version of the 60...and B was the 60 (assuming this... "B D are 60/3000." is respective). Both of those were my favorite of the bunch. But the others were still good too.

Honestly, all of them sound the same, more than they differ. If Toomp made a beat on A,B,C,D,E and F the beat would be DOPE on A,B,C,D,E and F. Vintage mode is not a selling point for me. The PC integration is the best part about the REN. (Yes I know, but I refuse to buy Maschine, I don't care about the price drop)

I don't think it's been revealed which is which yet, that was just my prediction.

The files have been deleted as well. Its like watching a film where the last 20 minutes have been erased.

Anyway, The test is really dubious because of how the original file was made and transferred.

According to Akai you can load up any MPC file format in the Ren (right?). Whats needed here is a direct comparison between an MPC60/3000 using the same sounds on a Ren which have not been re-sampled - they have to be directly transferred/loaded in to to the Ren bypassing any sampling or conversion and both using the same seqeunce data of course. Then simply play the 60/3000 and the Ren side by side. This method is of course for people who own the 60 and 3000s and want to see if their existing projects will load up in a Ren and playback accurate.

Another test which is needed is test to sample some sounds directly in to both 60/3000 and the Ren. This test would probably be the most true test to gauge how well the emulation works. IE, do you need to buy a 60 or 3000 to get that exact sound.

I dont know as I dont have a Ren yet, and even then I dont have a 3000 or a 60 (I have a 4000 there-for I cant test the 60/3000 vs the Ren. So anyone who has one of those machines and buys a Ren do a PROPER test(s).

I have every intention of doing a number of tests with the 4000. I think any differences I hear would be really minimal. But with the MPC 60 in particular I would be surprised if the Ren emulates it accurately. Dont forget its a cumulative effect. Just one drum loop isnt enough to really tell. There needs to be more content, preferably some programmed drums, bass and synth. A test made up using only sampled loops from a record would not be the best sound sources for gauging the conversion/sound
