All 'hell did break loose'.

I wouldn't give a specific date because the 'usual suspects' will do what they do should it come a little later. I see nothing wrong with giving a 'projected' date of release.

Thank to all the Ren developers for making this a grand product. I told the naysayers a year ago that you guys/gals weren't playing. It feels good to be right.

Thank you for this list, Jah. If all this is placebo, the real drug must kill.

A little disappointed. I was really hoping for a few basic improvements (qlink response, loop options, better eq, and etc). Oh well, guess I will have to be patient.

I use the huge graphic waveform editor on my Apple Thunderbolt display where I can quickly insert and delete slice markers they are auto mapped to pads.....instead of a tiny LCD. But I understand dome like going things the hard way.

I don't need a MPC if i end up using a mouse and keyboard. I can chop in Pro Tools and drag the chops into Structure using drag and drop, it creates a program automatically. Didn't have to spend cash money on a new MPC to do that, only reason I use MPC is not to have to look at Laptop screen...

All im saying is that everyone is screaming for the fancy shit, why not put in some more work into the chop shop and give more options? Chopping is the one thing all MPC cats do, so why not make it work better if there is room for improvement.

the fancy shit gets no attention from me.. next thing they will do is allow for user themes just cause somone wants it to look like ableton, gtfoh

Using the mouse and computer monitor isn't part of everyone's work flow - some people are much quicker without it. That's why it's important to always remember the LCD screen when updating the Ren - basic workflow functions (not related to mixing, etc) should be accessible from controller. Based on what 1.4 looks like I think akai ARE paying attention to it, which is exiting. (Zoom on hardware LCD for example)
