That pretty much sums up the forum members trolling here for no apparent reason but to cause disruption, hurl insults, etc.

mr_debauch wrote:the point I'm making is not about positive talk you are making towards the ren or akai... you complain about pollution, trolling, hating... yet you do it more than any other forum member in the ren section of the forum... this is not your personal litter box as much as you'd like to think it is because you plan on buying two rens...

Since you are taking the time to respond, why don't you also take the time to actually read. There has been quite a few forum members trolling here. They are easy to spot...95% of the time I have not responded to any of them....including the personal attacks. Monsta has been going way overboard as of late. I said my peace and was actually done with him..and now you jump on the band wagon. What are you doing now? Not contributing one posiitive thing here. Now you seem upset because I post more than anyone else perhaps. Why does that concern you? I am passionate about the product. I don't personally care what you have to say on the matter. I am not insulting you or anyone else...unless that means you are insulted by the fact that Akai is about to take over the world with the MPC Ren.

To wrap this up, I didn't ask for your opinion. Giving your opinion has not done anything positive for this community. All it did was encourage more haters to respond (as you have not said anything to the haters polluting this thread for the past few months) and attempt to annoy one of the biggest supporters of Akai and the MPC Ren...that be me...

If you don't have anything positive to say about the potential uses of the MPC Ren..and the MPC Ren only, I don't feel a need to read another word from you. So I will exercise modifying my profile to exclude your posts.

Why people complaining bout computer connection?
Because they love stand-alone and that's fine. They don't have to buy new stuff if they don't want. Some are stuck in an older mind state and don't wanna accept new technology. Some just wanna be difficult for the **** of it.

Me, I already have 2 older mpc's, I don't need to complain, **** or whine. If I want my old mpc fix then I'll go play with them, period! No drama from me. Yet and still, I embrace new tech. MPC Studio is callin me.

I agree, I have been doing this for years. I think the reason this is a major topic is because there are plenty of people who are mpc users throughout the series that only have the mpc line as their outlet for making music... so they follow the product line and now have to come to terms with the requirement of stepping on board of using computers for music. I mean, I suppose if you dont know that computers are actually good for it... you may be a bit more nervous.. right?

I mean, diesel engines last longer and often are more fuel efficient than traditional gas engines... but why aren't they popular in the US? People maybe haven't gotten used to the idea yet... (not the greatest analogy)

it's the only thing I can think of as to why so many people are this irate over it being linked to a computer.

(P.S. this post was made without hate)

Why people complaining bout computer connection? I personally don't know.

Practically nobody here (MPC 5000/4000 forum has been quiet for quite sometime), was talking new Akai MPCs in these forums for the past year...with the exception of a small few of us. We talked about MPC 5000 improvements...and the hope that Akai would create a virtual MPC to rival Maschine.

Now we got quite a few folks here on some I need a new hardware MPC kick. What I say to those folks is to support the Akai MPC 5000. If you can't or won't support the MPC 5000, why would Akai invest resources into something many of you say is a failure?

The MPC Ren/Studio is the future. Its operating system is more powerful than any MPC before it. Hype? Its an MPC. It does what MPCs do. And once you get passed the idea that it no longer has a 15 year old CPU and RAM no modern computer actually uses....you will be able to create music without the limitations we previously had.

With the MPC Ren, you can add an EQ to every single pad! We have program editing with support for drag-n-drop sample(s) to pads. We can do DAW styled mixing with full automation; pad and track Mute recording. Full screen graphic waveform editing is possible. XoX styled step sequencing has been added....an MPC Forums favorite feature request since around 2004. 24 bit/96 kHz sampling/recording rates for premium sound quality. Export all your MPC tracks as audio stems to load into any DAW on the market. All these things combined in a tight package with a controller that rivals legacy MPCs in build and functionality. Some dismiss it as hype. But when has a new MPC (or 3rd party OS for an MPC) not been hype?

Every die-hard MPC user here has their own personal favorite. If you ask many of us to part with our MPCs and use something else...most will respond..."oh hell naw!" For some, the MPC Ren is "dat new MPC." Others may feel this way in time. And some others may never catch on. That is ok as this is the same with every new MPC release.

That's my two cents....and my own personal agenda to make Dan a Saint. You need 3 miracles right? Pad responsiveness; latency to rival hardware MPCs will be the first. :D

Some people don't want to use a computer for music. The MPC is pretty much the only route to got if you don't want to be looking at a computer screen all day. I found that looking at computer screen flicker all day would negatively effect my mood and make me a bit paranoid, so had to stop. The MPC was like a breath of fresh air.

I think its good to have a stand-alone dedicated hardware option an it would be a shame if the dedicated hardware MPC development stopped here.

I am sure a lot of MPC users will gladly sacrifice the power & VST options in favour of a stand-alone MPC. I did coming from Ableton to the 2500. I've also found that the limitations of the MPC have led to innovation and this has had a positive result on music.

JAH you must admit you do start to sound like a guitar shop salesman from time to time. :)

Turn off your monitor, turn it to the side, or cover it up...do what ever you need to do to take the monitor out of the equation so it doesn't mess with your mood if the MPC Ren is something you are considering. The MPC Ren doesn't need the monitor to function.

The dedicated hardware option is the MPC 5000 which the MPC Ren is based on. It is still currently in production and available at online retailers for as low as $1999. Hurry while supplies last. Another option is the MPC 1000...still being sold. Those are the go to new MPCs if you want to sacrifice the power and VST capability. If you want innovation, there are plenty of MPC 60, 3000, and 2000XLs on the second hand market.

Guiitar shop salesman out.
