I just don't see value unless it works with iOS

then what exactly is it if not that?

Because it seems to have the midi button that is not yet on 1.4... I think the next update will be imminent :hmmm:

It does pretty much all the 'essentials' the MPC Software does but with limited tracks. If you like to use DAWs....you can insert as many of the Essentials VST as you like...and there is more but will have to wait until Akai releases the info n

its a thin MPD that can be tossed in a bag.... nothing to do with ipads by the sound of it.

it also comes with the mpc software or some incarnation of it... ill pass I think. I mean the controller sounds kind of cool, but none of the other stuff interests me.

I am curious about their 1/8" midi jacks hahahaha.

Yeah, the "Tracks per sequence: 1" is a bit of a head scratcher.

I'm guessing that also limits any kind of import of legacy files, as in multiple tracks.

So they've been using what limited programmers they have on staff to work on this noob software, instead of fixing the software that comes with the flagship product.....good to see Nukai still has their priorities straight.

They've obviously rebadged the Fly as that was a non-starter.

I wonder if this can act as a secondary dongle for Ren users?

For $130 after current rebate, this may be a decent 'compliment' to being mobile scratch pad for ideas, when you're out and about and can't take the Ren along, but dont want to kick out $500 for a studio.

Again, I may scoop one of these up for my kid since he is showing more interest in what I do....

So is this basically the REN software without the hardware controller or what, where's the pics of the software that comes with it?

If so I'd love this as an option, I've been dying to Mix with the software without having the REN attached since they released it.

More details ?? :?:

same look as mpc fly, but works like an mpd with software and more features.. actually good to use with your existing DAW

they have to work on their marketing though.. I dunno I might just stick with my mpd and studio one

they should have made the software be able to import mp3
