The tracks are basically a quicker way to adjust the pad level of the pads used on the track. You can just not use them and adjust the pad volume directly from the program mixer for a unified workflow. I think the majority of users will probably hide the tracks except when using them to control virtual instruments.

hi everybody , got a question for beta testers about the track explode thing.
if you do on your first track all your drums like on the exemple but you continue to use the others tracks to complete your beat (ex: track 2 sample theme, track 3 bass, track 4 vst etc...)
what happen when you explode your first track ? does the tracks order change ?

and if you add another drum thing (ex: a crash on the chorus sequence ) what all the exploded track interact to get all your others non-drum tracks on the same place ?

This IS huge. I am amazed. They even added the function that let's you see the track names in track mix! I suggested that only two times and it's a big improvement to me. Plus the option to edit all pads from the hardware!! Plus everything else, i think this update has 98 % of what i wanted. This is huuuge!

Ok I get that but I use one sound, sample, or vst per track my question is when you bounce ur project will the program be separated as individual tracks or as one track per program. I mean I want to use the mpc again as my goto toy but I use seq and tracks to arrange my songs and would like not to have to make a adjustment and it not go across all seq (the option to choose between global and non was a dope feature, the only one I was looking forward too ) now nothing?!!! sorry it jus dont make sense to me to leave that out. I have nothing against finger drummers but why hav different setting for live play? Anyway jus frustrated I was waiting a long time only for the mixer to get back to my mpc cuz really I love the mpc studio over the Maschine studio but the mixer is too much of a hassle to go between seqs to adjust setting when creating kills my vibe . Now if the program bounce as stems I'll be ok I guess...

Guess they gave up on improving the ability to read "snd files".I look forward to track explode><explode track{the return of blue haze, feline,Fobe & prah}. What a way to counter punch N.I. To those that sold their Ren's last week

Tracks get bounced individually. So if your sequence has 10 tracks, and you use the explode track export option, you will get 10 audio files; one for each track, even if all 10 tracks use the same program. Or you can bounce each program as stems. Whatever you want to do. Because the audio is now on the program side instead of the track side, any adjustment you make to any program or pad fader or plugin will happen in every sequence that program, pad and insert is used. So there is no more jumping back between sequences to adjust things except for actual track settings (ie track names, track types).

What problems do you have reading snd files? They load fine for me from my xl. There were some improvements made loading .aps files. Before they wouldn't load samples to pads. Now they do.

If I may ask you a few questions..

When you add an effect to a pad does it still put that pad into a submix?

Do you still need the application or vst loaded up for midi controller mode?

Thanks

Nope, no longer forced to the submix. Don't have to use it unless you choose to.

Yes, I believe so. There is no separate controller application.

Great im glad you get the option to choose now hopefully in future we see a controller profile freeing u the need to load the software but kudos to the development team they are certainly listening that is for sure

So just to be sure I understand this answer me this...
If I crate a project with one track for my drums(5 sounds) anther for Kontakt (5 sounds) and one for a sample(1 sound) thats three actual tracks, when I go to track explode when I'm done creating it will seperate all my drums and all my Kontakt instru Into seperate stems 11 in total... is this correct with 1.7?
