dope! pretty stoked, i hope the studio runs via usb as well as the break out cable though. based on the videos i would say it does.

The Ren is lighter than the MPC 2.5K and heavier than the MPC 1K. It size appears to be smaller than the MPC 5000 but bigger than the MPC 3000.

That's a good weight... 7.6 lbs on the mpc1000 is nice and sturdy, plus i can sit with it on my lap comfortably for quite a while. So that's good all around for the Ren.

I was actually suprised by the weight of the MPC 1000. It is pretty solid.

Negative. Renaissance is longer and wider. Takes up more space than the 5K

5k: 18" x 16 1/16" x 3 3/8"
Renaissance: 19.75" x 12.9" x 2.75"
