This is a major question in my opinion, if the new software can actually read entire beats (saved as entire folder) and not just load wavs & sequences as it says on the site.
Although I would assume this can be done, you never really know until it is confirmed... is anyone here going to NAMM? Please ask this question to the Akai ppl.

This would make the market for the mpc 60/3000/2000XL/1000/2500/5000 still interesting since you can make a beat with them and then instead of tracking the beat out just load it in the software and continue working... (unless your really out for the converters of your mpc of course). But for me fast workflow is more desired.
And i would really like to open all the 2000xl/2500 beats i haven't tracked out yet with a mpc ren or studio. But if i can't do that i might just stick to my 2500 and ignore these new mpc's...
