OK as if we need another thread for this machine.... but I was looking at the specs and damn the effects got me open ...lots of per pad effects rather than just per bus

:) Program Effects: 4 Insert Slots per Pad, 4 Sends to Track Effects per Pad
:) Track Effects: 4 Inserts and 4 stereo Sends per Track
:D Master effect: 4 Master Effect Slots Over 50 high-quality effects Included

thats mad nice. and yes I can see myself acting a damn effects fool with all that over kill.

I´d like to know the sampler specs??, modulation matrix, envelopes ect .. if this thing is suppose to be able to read 4k programs ... its going to need 3 x 5 stage envelopes have up to 3 filters per pad, 2x fully editable LFOs and an extensive matrix for modulation ... if it only has two AD envelopes and two filters per pad its not going to read my 4k programs ..yet Akai advertises that it can read all MPC formatts ..

So I´d like to know the bare essentials ...

1.filtes
2.envelopes

then

3.Eq
4.Dynamics

then

5.FX

Nice! As far as the stock stuff, though cool, since it can host my plugins and work in the box I personally don't even care what those 50 high-quality effects sound like.

Hello there,

another Akai employee here. I thought I'd show my face.
I'm working on the new MPC software, and can possibly respond to software related questions if xparis001 is too busy.

Nice!! Welcome Peteblues. Nice to have you.
What about effects on the Ren/vMPC? I read that there are 50 effects is there a list of effects that you can reveal yet? Also I saw "analog modeling" listed as a filter type? What exactly is that?

peteblues wrote:
the effects are a direct port from the 5000, and so are the filters. I'm not sure if I can officially say what devices are modeled.

peteblues wrote:
more info about the filter models. They are models of Moog, Arp, and the last one starts with "TB"

The effects probably won't have presets or settings as in the 5000. A compressor vintage, Opto etc. count as seperate fx rather then a setting in one compressor like a VST.........

So I guess a total 15 different kind of FX......
