MPC Forum Members,

Which plugins will you use as VST instruments and Effects with the new Akai MPC Ren/Studio?

Although Reasons is not a VST, I added Propellerhead as Rewire support is a popular feature request.

You can select up to 3 plugin manufacturers.

By the way...I just checked Sweetwater and they are taking preorders:
1. MPC Ren $1299
2. MPC Studio $599
3. MPC Fly $299

You didn't read my initial post.....

I am about to pull the trigger on Motu's MachFive 3 sampler today or tomorrow. It has less sounds than NIs complete but NI already has plenty of my money.

Yeah I'm all about ReWire support for Reason.
I also picked Focusrite, since my Scarlett 2i2 interface came with some incredible VST/AU effects.
My third choice was Native Instruments. I really like all of their software and plan on buying a few synths like Massive, FM-8, Absynth, and Reaktor.

Other than that, I'm good. But ReWire is a MUST because Reason is just too good not to be used with an MPC. So many of us have been using Reason as a sound module for our hardware MPCs. Akai should also take that fact into consideration, as it would make for a lot of happy customers. :)

I picked rewire at the top of the list I think that would be one of the biggest tipping points for a lot of people on the fence about the Ren. Then I picked waves and izotope but my McDsp plugs too could get some use.

I just placed an order for Motu's MachFive 3 at Sweetwaters. I was able to find my DVD sound libraries for MachFive 1 as well as Giga Studio 3 which can be opened in MachFive 3. I am going to spend some time getting familar with MachFive over the next few months anticipating the arrival of the Ren.
