Focusrite Saffire - isn't great, high latency for realtime input.

KRK Rokit - The're better monitors out in this pricerange

Maschine - As controller in other DAW's it's ok, but the software sucks. So you could simply use an Padkontrol to have the same benefits.

Beyer DT770 headphones - Frequency response is off, not the best choice for production...


I'd go with:

Yamaha HS80m
RME Babyface
Korg Padkontrol + Poise VST
Presonus HD7 headphones
Reaper

makes much more sense

Actually, after reading the print, that's a REALLY OLD package deal. It says you get a free update to 1.6! NI been on 1.7 since like last september, I believe!

Do you know that people prefer grabbing package deals, like 8 pair socks even if it would be cheaper to grab 8 single pairs?

Yo but if Akai threw in those monitors they have with the ren, that would awesome, but thats never happening, they should throw in some Dre's tho, or like a coupon or something.

Yeah, they are probably nervous, but I'm sure they have something in the works. This package deal obviously isn't being offered by NI themselves though! But it is funny given the circumstances!

You're right. These bundles are created by authorized dealers, not the manufacturers, to sell less popular and overstocked items by pairing them with popular items. If it was the manufacturers it would be the same bundle for all authorized retailers. It is often good when companies compete for the consumer though.

It's funny cause the ren hasn't even dropped yet but everyone is talking shit like its Donna be gods gift to man, just like everyone was talking that shit before the 5000 dropped and it ended up sucking ass. Akai will probably abandon all it's users just like they did with the 500 and the 5000. **** akai!!

I have friends who **** about it all the time. I own a 1000 that I had to get jjos for because the akai os sucked and crashed all the time also I have a 500 with an os that has been forgotten about. Not to mention the pad upgrade for my 1000 that I had to shell out my own money for and the shitty quality tact switches. How about the year I had to wait for my pad upgrade cause akai wasnt getting them? I can go on and on. Numark which owns akai only wants ur money.. Remember that. They don't give a shit about u, or me. I've delt with em first hand. All they care about is ur money
