Hey XParis r we gonna be able to play say our timestrentched sample up and down the keyoard in diffrent pitches?

Timestretched sample is still just a sample. Any sample assigned to a keygroup program can be played up and down a keyboard in different pitches.

If you are asking if you can play a previously timestretched sample up and down a keyboard at different pitches but maintain the same tempo...then this is something different. No MPC to date can accomplish that.

I asked xparis this before. he said no. maybe in some other os updates?

U can do this with the V-synth and some Yamaha samplers. It would be really cool if u could do this with the REN. since it got offline pitchshift I dont see it as such a big problem to implement?

Shouldn't be hard to implement! Most modern DJ software can do this in realtime as the record plays!

Exactly, pitch tune changes the tempo but pitch shift just changes the tone but not the tempo. Most MPCs can do this.

Most recent MPCs have pitch shifting but it's not real time like what is being discussed here.

The Variphrase in the Vsynth rocks for this, but other software samplers, such as Halion 4.5 do it nicely, Mach Five 3 does it great,and Kontakts is ok,but not as good ime, vmmv

With VST suport out the gate....these will be options. This is the samething Maschine users have to use for offline timestretching and pitchshifting.

Realtime timestretching and pitchshifting as seen in variphrase technology has always been high on the list of feature requests here.

Right for midi instruments I'd say mach five and halion 4.5 are leading the pack. For str8 up timestretching audio, to fit to tempo, there's nothing quite as good imo, then in studio one, i's amazingly fast and effective,realtime too, perhaps abelton,but I think S1 handles it better.

This is why I hope the ren works well in daws.
