That's a false statement. Izotope leased the Radius algorithm only. They didn't code Elastic Audio just like they didn't code Audiosnap in Sonar. It's wishful thinking to believe that because it's in PT we should expect the same performance from Numark. That even sounds far fetched.
The algorithm is the whole function of the feature and determines how accurate the audio will sound. That's the most important feature of the function. Avid simply coding the graphics or whatever to make it possible for you to physically stretch the graphical region is irrelevant.

This is a terrible analogy as there are several trims of Corvette. For example, the ZR-1, which is available from the dealer, is a stock supercar trim of the Corvette which is a competitor to the Enzo. Secondly, tires don't "propel" the vehicle, the drivetrain does.
But since you want to argue car facts with a certified auto technician, I'll entertain this analogy. I just bought a 2012 Durango. Now, the 2011+ Durango and Cherokee are built off of the same chasis as the Mercedes Benz M and G series SUV's. So even though I'm driving a Dodge, my truck still handles and rides like a Benz! Doesn't mean I own a Benz, but I still have similar comfort and performance.

So you can bet your ass that if I took the engine and transmission (heart) from an Enzo and some how made it fit into a base model Corvette, the Vette would perform much more similar to an actual Enzo. Avid took the heart of Radius and dropped it into Pro Tools and got a great functioning feature. Don't see why Akai won't have similar results, especially with a less resource hogging version of the technology!
