Ren Transport control as a plugin, working yes or no?

Instead of turning this thread into a beat battle, can anyone with the ren answer the simple question, does the Mpc ren support TRANSPORT CONTROLS as a plugin in your daw?

I'm looking forward to the answer to this one too. I can't wait to run this out of Ableton

If it doesn't I'll just stick to Maschine 1.8 until the ren eventually makes it's way if it's not supported already. The last thing I want is to have to rely on another standalone device, when all I work in is my daw..

Akai is being so quiet regarding this, it makes me think it's not supported yet.

The competition is releasing revised product with an OS update in 1 month. Looks like Akai doesn't want to show their hand.

This is a very...very..very popular feature request. Maschine will have this in 1.8. Akai knows this......

If Akai's update including this feature request includes Pro Tools Transport control, unlike Maschine's 1.8 update, that will be great.

The competition (Native Instruments Maschine) has been very open as far as what new features are coming forward in the release of Maschine 1.8. This is the right kind of attitude to end users imo.

Akai has supported Mtc in the past, does anyone know if the ren supports it right now at v 1.0? This would help ease some of the concerns I have with the ren if it was able to at least support Mtc.

Seeing that most 1.8 features has been in MPCs for a decade....they have no choice but to advertise they are finally adding them. If you like NI's 'attitude', you should certainly buy their products...I have.

The Ren sends MIDI Clock and MTC. It sends/receives MMC.

Ren doesn't recieve Beat Clock??????.

When you use it as a plugin within your DAW, it automatically syncs with your host sequencer.

Other than that..in OS1, it is a Master device an sends out MTC and MIDI clock out its 4 MIDI outputs if you want to sync your external hardware (MPCs, keyboard workstations, etc).

So how can it send MTC back to the DAW (Pro Tools) that it's already slaved to?

1. The Ren's physical MIDI outputs sends MTC or MIDI clock

2. It can send/receive MMC

3. When used as a plugin within a DAW, it automatically syncs to your host DAW's sequencer
