MPC Ren > PROPHET 5 MIDI

We are trying to run MIDI to the Prophet 5. I have the Akai MPK88, which I couldn't get to work via MIDI....And I JUST bought the Renassaince (and a fresh MIDI cable). So, anybody have any pointers how to run MIDI from either of these units to the PROPHET

There is a setting in the mpk line that allows u to change it to output the midi over midi instead of usb, google that, should fix the whole issue,

then take the midi out of the mpk to the midi in 1 of the Ren, on track one of ren set it to midi in the program field, select out A midi chan 1,
run the out a midi cable from the Ren out A to the in of the prophet 5, should be good to go
