When I adjust the Master Knob on the Ren it doesnt affect the volume on the software, I hv to mv it with the mouse. Has anyone else experienced this? Im using the sound card frm the computer also.

Figured tht knob was linked to LEVEL in the software. It shld be. When I run the outputs frm the Ren the Main Volume knob does turn the volume dwn but nothing is reflected on the LEVEL knob in the software. Smells like a bug.

46. MAIN VOLUME – Use this knob to adjust the volume level of the STEREO OUT jacks.

You guys are not reading the manual. And its all good....really. I hate manuals myself and I have yet to actually read the Ren's manual outside of a few paragrahs.

But if you have ever told a forum member to 'search' before posting or used the acronym 'RTFM' in this forum.......

Its an analog control. Those three knobs are for the built in AD/DA converter. The Qlinks, data wheel, cursor keys, etc are software controllers.

This mks my 43 post. I hv never tld a mbr to RTFM. I hardly post

The MAIN VOLUME knob shld ctrl the Ren outputs and the software prgm just like the Maschine does. who wants to turn dwn the voulme with ur mouse. And it shld visually correlate with the software as well, like the Maschine does. Otherwise wht its purpose for being there and not moving unless my mouse touches it? Still think its a bug.

Smells like wishful thinking to me. Read the manual thoroughly first if you are unsure how the controller interacts with your software. The manual is your friend...

The Ren is not a maschine, dont expect every aspect of it to be the same. Maybe you forget the Ren is an audio interface too, which the maschine is not. Tired of hearing people constantly moaning "maschine does this and maschine does that", simple answer is to use the maschine if it suits you better. Learn to appreciate difference, this isn't Behringer you're dealing with.

    <----1. This is wht I'm doing to you right now after reading this. Wht a pathetic response. 2. If I hv a question I will post it. 3. U perceive I expect "every aspect of it to be the same" bc the LEVEL doesnt mv unless ur mouse touches it? How intelligent is this perception. 4. I dnt care nor will I ever care wht you are tired of. 5. As far as appreciating, maybe it's you who need a fresh course in tht arena. You can start with appreciating individualism and add to tht some self love, then maybe you wont be so bitter and commenting on everyone's post with sarcasm and haterism.

Just injecting humor. Just remember when you get a few thousand pots under your belt and feeling like your god's gift on an MPC...don't clown the newbie's when they ask silly questions. It's all love:-D

its not a bug, its designed that way. the pot is an analog control. there are no digital hooks to read its value in software. Thats the point. Real analog outputs.

Gotcha, cool with the analog outputs and analog control, my thing is tht there shld be visual correlation with the LEVEL in the software and a possible dual function.

Same thing with the Click/Metronome F2 then adjust the vol to 0 and the click goes silent but no visual correlation in the software as it still shows MAX VOL. Adjust the click vol in the software and the click goes silent. On the controller, switch the Metronome field to OFF and the red ON on the software turns black. Tht part of Click/Metronome correlating properly . I dnt see hw this isnt a bug.

This is not the same thing. But it is a bug; confirmed and reported.
